can i take tylenol 3 and norco at the same time
1 Reply RSS
Can I take a norco and Tylenol 3 at the same time I am passing kidney stones and in pain very bad pain!! ## No, you shouldn't combine them, that could cause you to ingest a toxic amount of Acetaminophen, since it's in both of these medications. Too much Acetaminophen could cause liver damage or liver failure and an overdose has the potential to be fatal. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Additionally, you'd be doubling up on narcotics, since the Tylenol 3 contains Codeine and the Norco contains Hydrocodone. They can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which could cause shallow breathing, lowered heart rate and lowered blood p... ...

4 Replies RSS
Is It Safe To Take 20mg Of Percocet And 4mg Hydromorphone Together every 4 hrs? ## I'm sorry, but there is actually no 20mg Percocet tablet. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and is only available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone. Did you mean just a regular Oxycodone tablet, like the generic for Roxicodone, which is available in a 20mg dosage? Have these both been prescribed by the same doctor? Many times, different narcotics are prescribed together, to try to help someone get better control of pain. A lot of times a person may given a regular release of time released narcotic, along with an instant release or regular release, respectively, so one can help control their pain faster, while the other one has the chance to kick in. However, if you are talking about a generic for Vicodin, that contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, then it isn't really going to be safe to take 6 of the pills, several times a day, to equal the Morphine. Doing so will cause you to take high levels of Acetaminophen, which may be toxic. Learn more Morphine details here. Learn more Vicodin details here. In all honesty, if you have ... ...

ive bee taking 15 mg of oxycodone every 4hrs for chronic pain do to a brain injury that occured about 4 months ago. ive never had ANY cetimeiphen in it ever. please explain why some people do have this and some don't. thanks. p.s oxycodone is definatley stronger than hydrocone. i am about to go to to 15mg of the hydrocodone it works better for me. definitly and last longer. why? ## Hello, Travis! How are you? Some of them contain Acetaminophen, because it augments the narcotic opiate and helps it work better, so it has a stronger effect and works better to relieve pain. However, the narcotic is still effective without it and it isn't necessary to prescribe one that contains Acetaminophen for everyone. It can be very rough on the liver, especially if someone is taking high amount... ...

It's the way the medication is designed, a certain portion is released as soon as you swallow it, then it slowly swells as it absorbs your gastric fluid to gradually release the rest. It contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
