Could I take oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-325 (pill imprint 512) with oxycodone 5mg (pill imprint k18) together. ## Hello, John! How are you? You can do so, as long as your doctor approves. There is no Acetaminophen in the K18 tablet manufactured by KVK Tech. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hey John, Why would you want to take them together? It makes one think about "Are you using them for pain or recreationally?" It sounds like a possibly dangerous combination. "Just saying..." be careful.

I need an extended relief med, I have Hep C so do not want any acetaminophen and all this info is coming from the pharmacist I need to find an alternative extended relief pain medication in lieu of morphine or anything with acetaminophen due to my Hep C liver condition; currently applying for disability and all of this is coming from the pharmacist not the actual doctor. ps I live in FL ## Hello, Beckie! How are you? There is a time released formulation of Oxycodone available that's called Oxycontin, which contains no Acetaminophen and there is also a time released pain patch available called Duragesic, which contains only the narcotic Fenantyl, so you may want to discuss these options with your doctor. I would like to know if aspirin is in oxycodone. My husband has back pain and I have oxycodone/acetaminophen5-325 I use for arthritic pain. He is allergic to aspirin. Could he take one of these pills? ## no this is not aspirin ,it is the same as Tylenol ## Hi Betty, When post #1 mentioned "no this is not aspirin, it is the same as Tylenol", they weren't exactly clear on what "this" or "it" was supposed to be referring to. So just to reiterate, there is no Aspirin in Oxycodone. Oxycodone is quite simply Oxycodone by itself.... Oxycodone + Acetaminophen on the other hand, is a different combination med (also known as Percocet), which does not contain any Aspirin either... And to answer your question about sharing your pills with your husband, my answer would be...

I have severe and chronic skeletal pain. Have been taking Tramadol 50mg. the Acetaminophen has caused painful liver symptoms. Is there a pain medication that DO NOT have acetaminophen? ## Hello, Audrey! How are you? What have you been taking exactly? If it's just Tramadol 50mgs, then there is no Acetaminophen in it. If it contains Acetaminophen, then there should be a second dosage listed. That said, there are many options available that do not contain Acetaminophen, including Tramadol by itself, Oxycodone, Hydromorphone, Oxymorphone and Morphine. The FDA classifies these mediations as being narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzies, headache, constipation and dry mouth.

How can you tell if acetaminophen is a rx or just otc? Is the dosage a clue? ## Based on my own research I found that Acetaminophen (also known as Paracetamol) is an ingredient contained in many OTC and prescription medicines. For the most part, Acetaminophen would be found in typical OTC drugs such as, Benadryl, Tylenol, Theraflu, and many more medications along similar lines intended for normal colds, flu, and other minor to moderate pain. As for Acetaminophen in Rx, I found it to be similar dosages, but I believe the main difference is what drug they combined with Acetaminophen to give it a stronger effect. For example, I saw Acetaminophen used in conjunction with Oxycodone, Codeine, Hydrocodone, and other serious drugs intended to be for a more serious matter. But those are Rx of co...

heard over the news taking hydrocodone acetaminophen 5-325 if taken would be bad for your liver, is this true ## Hello, Ron! How are you? Will it definitely damage your liver? No. Is it a risk associated with almost all medications? Yes! The possibility is there, but it doesn't happen to everyone that takes it and is actually very rare. And regarding this specific medication, most of the risk is associated with the Acetaminophen, long-term use of high amounts of it risks liver damage or liver failure. This is actually one of the reasons that the FDA requested manufactures do away with any combination prescription products that contained more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, to help lower the risk. Are there any other questions or concerns?

is there a pain medication with ibuprofen that is stronger than the acetaminophen? ## Hello, Deloris! How are you? Yes, there is one called Vicoprofen that's available as the name brand and generic that contains Ibuprofen, rather than Acetaminophen. It isn't necessarily stronger, but it does work better for some people. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What is Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5 / 325 TB used for? I was on the 7.5-325 T before for a hip surgery I had (for the pain). What is the difference? ## Hello, Patty! How are you? The dosage is lower, this one contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. If you're asking about the T and TB, there is no difference, they are both just abbreviations for tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. red kali 083 ## WHAT IS IT USED FOR? ## This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it contains both Acetaminophen and Tramadol so it is a little stronger than just Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen alone. It is non-narcotic, so it is really mild and only helps with minor aches and pain.

I just want to know that what the recommended or prescribed amount of Crocin is that a person can have in a day? ## According to my resources, Crocin contains the active ingredient Acetaminophen, though I am not certain what dosage you have. However, the maximum safe dosage in 24 hours is 4,000mg - For instance, this would be 8 of the 500mg tablets in any 24 hour period. If you exceed that amount, it is toxic and can be fatal. Has your doctor made any recommendation? ## These details are given at the back of Crocin tablets strip, and written on it, so check it in on the strip. ## Can it be used to reduce knee pain? How many ibuprofen and acetaminophen equal 1 Vicodin ## They are not equivalent. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and Acetaminophen is an analgesic and antipyretic, however, Vicodin contains the narcotic Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, so they just aren't comparable. Additionally, both the Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen can be toxic and cause a fatal overdose, if you take too much, so trying to take more and more of them to relieve pain is not advisable. This new formula isn't helping my pain. Can you tell me why? I know I had Lortab before. Is this the same drug? Thanks ## Hello, Kathleen! How are you? This isn't a new formula, nor a new dosage. There are several on the market that contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, including Lortab, Norco, Vicodin and others. As to why it's not helping, it just might not be the right dosage or the right medication for you.
