I have some blue 1 mg alprazolam, generic for Xanax, pills that have the R031 on them. I would like to know if they are time release or if I took them with my regular 2 mg brand-name Xanax bars, with the Xanax on one side and the 2 on the other, if I would get the same effect or if the blue ones are time or extended release and would not work the same? ## Hello, Tom! The blue Xanax are just one mg. ## Actually, depending on the shape of the pill there are two blue Xanax pills with different dosages. The one that is Elliptical / Oval shaped is a 1mg pill, manufactured by Pfizer U.S. Pharmaceuticals Group. For verification, the National Drug Code (NDC) is: 00009-0090 The other blue Xanax pill happens to be round and is a 2mg extended-release tablet. I just filled my script that was Supossed to be Xanax 1 mg extended release.. Xr or ER.. Anyway I my meds are usually a bigger white pill.. I have only see the 0.25 which were white, the 0.5 I've seen 3 different orange ones and also a yellow 0.5. The 1 mg I have seen in blue and green. And the 2 mg bars I've seen in white, yellow and green. The white and yellow bars break in 4 squares. People try to pass off buspars as zanny bars.they are totally different and u couldn't pay me to take one of those. The green bars do only break into 3. Are Xanax tablets chalky and do they have a taste? ## Does xanax taste chalky at all because I got dispensed some bars that say xanax on one side and a 2 on the other side and they look perfect but do not have that bitter taste that I am used to?
