My doctor wants to take me off Xanax. I have taken 1mg 3 times a day for 10 years. I take it for my anixity disorder as well as a relaxant for my skeletal muscle disorder. I need to know the names of medicines that will work the same as the xanax and that my body won't go into withdrawl. I've already lost my pain medicine last month now he wants to quit writing my Xanax. ## They say Klonopin and I did try two. I found a white long oval shaped pill, with 2 pieces on one side that say on one piece M, and on the other B4, and on the back of it, it has 3 pieces with 10 on each piece... This is actually Clonazepam, same drug class, but a different medication, this is a generic for Klonopin. This is a 1mg tablet.

Can anyone tell me if their are doctors online who will rescribe xanax? ## I am sure you could find one, if you looked hard enough, however, since Xanax contains the active ingredient Alprazolam and is a Benzodiazepine, it is a controlled substance in the U.S. and having it prescribed in such a manner would still be considered illegal. In the U.S. it requires a doctor's actual examination/office visit to have these types of substances prescribed. i was just put on this medicine. 0.5 mg 3 times a day! i was used to takin xanax aand i jsut need to know if it is stronger or lighter cause it seems real strong!! ## For anyone else looking for such information, these two Benzodiazepines actually convert on a 1:1 ratio, so they are about the same in relation to strength and potency. The pill is oval, white in color. One side is blank, the other is scored in half with what looks like an S on one side and 106 on the other. I'm thinking it's a generic Xanax. I have been prescribed Xanax 1mg for 20 years by my family physician. Out of the clear blue he is now sending me to a psychiatrist. I also suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks. I am now having attacks out of fear of seeing a new doctor who may or may not prescribe them. I know they cannot cut them out cold turkey but just afraid. I know people who are prescribed 2mg. I have been taking .5 mg xanax every night for the last 8 months to fall asleep. It actually works, but I think I'm having side effects. I used to wake up 3 times per night before Xanax, and now I sleep through the night, but I wake up exhausted and sluggish. I'm having memory problems and I don't feel alert. Am I addicted? Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of your anxiety, as opposed to just covering up the feelings and emotions with medication. I'm going to get my script soon, ive been taking the Actavis brand (Walgreens) and I asked if my next refill it could be the Greenstone g3722. My dosage I'd 2mg. I has the Mylan xr but would say the ACTAVIS is better. Should I stick to Actavis or go for Greenstone?
