PLIVA Vitamin D. Does anybody else take this and what side effects are there? One a week. ## VIT D 50,000 UNITS BY PLIVA......I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT THE DYE CONTENT....ALLERGIC TO RED AND BLUE DYES ## This is just a nutritional supplement, so for most people there are no real side effects, other than perhaps a bit of nausea due to the high dosage. However, some people can be sensitive to it and may experience some bad reactions, which can include: muscle/joint pain, irritability, dizziness, insomnia, heart palpitations, chest pain, excess stomach acid, severe facial flushing and the list actually goes on and on. Vitamin D also has a long half-life, it takes about a month to reach 50% in your body, so if you experience detrimental effects, it can take a long time to get back to normal. ...

Cal d3 calcium supplement with vitamin d3 tablets ## Hi, Treasure! Did you have a specific question about this supplement? Both Calcium and D3 are vital to your overall health, but they can also be dangerous if you take too much, so you do have to be careful. There are also certain medical conditions that they may be contraindicated with and certain medications they can affect, so you should always check with your doctor, before taking them. If you don't need, because you aren't deficient then it may not be the right thing for you to take, because the D3 will basically potentate the calcium, which makes it quite easy for you to develop hypercalcemia.

used for rat poisoning in humans ## It's sad to see things were to scared to test on ourselves being tested on animals; even rats. In the case of supplements or Vitamin K in this instance, you never know exactly what they do in their testing facilities to ensure it works the way they want it to work. Word of advice: Get your vitamins and minerals from whole fresh ripe raw organic fruits and vegetables, and you can be assured you are getting plenty of what you need if you incorporate this eating habit on a regular basis. You are also doing the rats (and other animals) a favor by not supporting and buying into these failed products. ## Vitamin K is an essential nutrient that is vital for calcium metabolism, blood clotting, heart health and much more. I take lipitor, lisinopril, celexa, vitamins B12, C, D, E, folic acid, fish oil, can you tell me hate is the best times to take them? ## A lot of it really depends on what works best for you and/or if your doctor has given you any special dosing instructions. For instance, in most cases it's preferred to take a blood pressure/cardiac medication like the Lisinopril in the morning, so it can help control your medical condition during the time of day that you're most active and will naturally experience the most fluctuations. And the vitamins, especially the B12 can give an energy boost, so they are usually best taken in the morning, so they don't cause insomnia. However, in some cases, the vitamin D can cause some drowsiness, especially in higher doses, so many people take it ...

I recently went & had a EMG & EEG. My Dr. said I had some nerve damage in my legs? My legs jump & twitch on their own? My Dr. said this matanx is a vitamin? Any feedback would be appreciated. ## Metanx contains the active ingredients: L-methylfolate (Metafolin): 2.8 mg Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate: 25 mg Methylcobalamin: 2 mg These B-Vitamins are often given to try to help treat or prevent nerve damage, however, the only way they will help is if that damage was caused by a deficiency in these nutrients. If it was due to an injury, then they will probably not do much. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?

It was originally isolated from wine and thought to be a metabolite of Xanthopterin. Very little is known about it, I found this limited information on a holistic health website. Its possibly functions are thought to be cell formation and inhibiting a particular type of anemia. Is there anything else I can help with?
