I am pre-menopausal and get a bit irritable at times. My doctor prescribed half a tablet twice a day. Is this the right medication? I used to take Atatax for itching and as a light sedative/antihistamine (1 tablet per night). Now Pfizer are no longer manufacturing this drug. my Dr has now prescribed Urbanol 10mg and I am afraid of taking this medication as i have read that it is the same as Zolpidem, Zolpihexal and these are for Insomnia and I dont suffer from Insomnia only the itching. I am using Venlor 125grm for many years. For the past 2 years my medical aid stopped supplying my Venlor as i was in my self payment gap. I cannot to afford to buy it myself, so i didn't use it for the last 5 months of the year. I had numeris vp shunts and i have Epileptics as well. I have been prescribed Eplepton for extremely restless legs which cause insomnia. In addition my thyroid has gone from being underactive to overactive so therefore my meds were reduced. I also over a period weaned myself off one tramacet and one celebrex which I took every night for approximately three years for neck pain. I discontinued taking these two tablets as I was extremely sleepy during the day. Lastly I was prescribed urbanol for depression as well which I also weaned myself off soon after discontinuing the use of tramacet and celebrex. I read somewhere on the internet that you can use urbanol for dogs. If a dog has a neurological proplem and it's muscles keeps on contracting, can urbanol be used for the dog in 0,5mg doses once a day and will it help? Or is there something else that can help?

I have been using Pax for a few years for anxiety. A month ago I was told Pax wiil not be available in Sout Acrica untill middle 2017. The dr subscribed Urbanol 10 mg Twice a day. I only drink 10 mg at night. Been drinming it for 2 nights . I told my Doctor that i have trouble sleeping and i have anxiety depression as well as Major Depression and i asked for sleeping pills but she said that urbanol can be used to calm my nerves and then make me fall asleep , is this true because i have been awake for about 68 hours now and i drank my pills every night before i go to bed , so can it be used as a sleeping pill ?? ## Hello, Kobus! Hi there, I was on tripelene for a couple of years then went off it trying to seek a natural way to help with my anxiety and to sleep. Does Urbanol includes Lactose? ## From what I can find listed for the name brand's inactive ingredients, it contains Sucrose, not Lactose. It contains the active ingredient Clobazam.
