Mine white 1mg arrive in blister packs with the name Tranex-1.on the packs. They are oval and can be split. Package comes from India. However I think a lot of the taste attributes you find in a pill may vary depending upon the types of binders/fillers used throughout different manufacturers as well. Having said that, if you're trying to identify a pill based on taste alone, it seems to me like it would also be a good idea to have it analyzed by a lab just to be on the safe side. No, I’ve been taking this medication for almost 10 years and it’s only recently come to my attention that there is a ODT or orally dispensing tablet version of this medication and I’m wondering if anybody has any experience with it because with my panic disorder it’s difficult waiting the hour for my pillow to come on whereas I feel like this would happen much quicker. I have been taking Lonazep + Alprazolam since 2011 for the treatment of mental stress, anxiety and also sleeplessness. Both, I am taking daily at night before sleep in the doses of 0.5mg each. Now it seems that 0.5mg of Alprazolam is not effective for the purpose of sleep disorder. Can I increase its dose without consultation with my doctor? ## No I wouldn't do that without speaking to your Doctor first ## Xanax is not really an effective sleep aid anyway due to it's rather short half-life. However, post # 1 is correct about the possibility of either dosage varying by plus or minus 20%. From what I understand, that's the amount of wiggle room generic meds are allowed to have. Furthermore, this doesn't even take into account the different inactive ingredients (including their quality), which play a known role in how well we metabolize/absorb the tablet as a whole.
