A friend has been taking Biprofenid 150 mg one a day for 3 days and now his urine is red. Is this normal? ## HI, Cathy! Has he consulted his doctor? He should do so immediately, that could be due to blood in the urine, which means there may be internal bleeding somewhere. Bi-Profenid contains the active ingredient Ketoprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and it can cause stomach ulceration and an increased risk of bleeding as possible side effects. Is ranitidine still safe to take after the expiration/discard date? Mine is 10/10/12. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Most medications, such as Ranitidine, don't get dangerous when expired, but they do begin to lose efficacy after that point. Thus, the older they are, the less they are going to work. Learn more Ranitidine details here. It would really be best to just dispose of the expired and purchase new. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I was on omeprazole for about 2 and a half years, and on Rapeprazole for 10 years for acid reflux. My last endoscopy revealed fundic polyps so I stopped taking the omeprazole and my GP put me on Ranitidine 150mg x2 daily. Have been taking them for for 5 days now. My doctor diagnosed me with fatty liver. Ursocol 150 has been prescribed along with Recool 40. ## Since the last 2 to 3 yrs., after each meal I was feeling pain as well as something like a cyst on the right side of my abdomen. After an ultrasonography test, it was determined that due to a fatty liver this problem persisted. Accordingly, my Dr. has prescribed Recool-40 before lunch and dinner, as well as Ursocol-150 after meals. Kindly let me know the side effects and use of both tablets. Please let me know whether Apple cider vinegar is also useful for these problems? I am also suffering from high b.p., diabetes and my weight is 101 kg. ## Are there any side effects associated with the long-term use of Ursocol 150 mg (two times daily)?

My perscription for bupropion SR 150mg tablets - I understand what all that means. I want to know what the SA in front of WATSON LABS means? does this mean it was made in South Africa or South America? My pharmacy has switched something and my generic used to be a purple round pill and is now a white round pill. ## The SA stands for sustained action, it's just another way of designating that it's a time released formulation of the medication. It means the same thing as the SR in your prescription, which stood for sustained release. Learn more Bupropion details here. Are there any other comments or questions?

The regular Clopilet would be the equivalent medication that just contains Clopidogrel and, in that case, there should be no harm in switching, as long as you are taking the correct dosage. i forget taking ecospirin 150 after lunch. is it ok if i take it any other time ## Ecosprin just contains Aspirin and in many cases it is used as a blood thinner in these lower dosages. That said, there is no particular time of day that it has to be taken, so there really shouldn't be any problem if you switch it to another time that's easier for you to remember to take it. Learn more Ecosprin details here. If you're on the once a day dosing, then you should just make sure not to take them any closer than 24 hours apart. So, if you want to take one later in the day, then taking your next dose 30 hours away from the last one would be safer than taking them just six hours apart. are the pills still safe to take after being in the medicine cabinet for four years. My doctor is out of town and need to take one for my back ## Hello, Fluffy! How are you? Tablets begin to lose efficacy, after their expiration date. Even those still sealed in the original factory containers only have a shelf-life of 3 to 4 years. Keep in mind that this is just an estimate and does not factor in that you have taken multiple doses. I'd give it a full 24 hours to be safe, and I would also double check with the pharmacist since they could inform you of possible interactions after that period of time. This script looks different than what I have been given for years. What exactly is it saying? I had to get a new Doctor and i asked how to read this and he ignored my question. I'm afraid to fill it. ## What is it a prescription for? I am not sure what the sy might be, however, the 150 is the number of tablets in total, taken 5 times a day, so it would be a 30 day supply. There is no need to be afraid to get it filled, if there is something on it that your pharmacist can't understand, they will contact the doctor to ask.
