What Is The Right Dosage Of Thyronorm

Hi, I am a 46 year old man with a thyroid issue for the past 17 years and has recently (in the past 5 years) embarked on Thyronnorm tabs 100mcg and i have noticed a few things each time i come to India for treatment I get conflicting prescription, the first time i went i was informed that i was meant to 100mcg per 50kg of weight. Now this last time i went to India 1 and a half months back i was now put on a prescription of 75mcg daily! i am getting very confused here! i am putting on weight and also for posterity sake i would really like to know how many tabs and exactly how many mcg daily i should be on. Hi Doctor, Iam 22 years old female and have no other health problems other than thyroid. I took the thyroid test and my TSH level is more than 100 and my throat is enlarged doctor has suggested me to take Thyronorm tablet 100 mcg and i need your suggestion to know whether the dosage is normal or will it affect me in any way. A woman relative, around 60 yr of age, taking 100 mcg thyronorm as prescribed by Dr. She has fatty infiltration of liver, small stones in gall bladder, complains of nagging pain on the right lower side (between pelvic region and Liver) suffers from terrible weakness, especially in the morning hours (before breakfast) and is anxious about not getting cured from her condition. Through out the day a mild to moderate Whole body pain. ## Thyronorm contains the active ingredient Levothyroxine. What type of pain? Joint pain can be a sign of either an allergic reaction or a sign that you are on too high of a dosage. You really should contact your doctor about this, immediately. Hi i Have Hypo Thyroid, since from 1 year am keep on gaining my weight.. every time i consult the Dr. he increase the dosage of it from 25 mcg to 100 mcg and Sat & Sun he made 200 mcg. Some one said me if i take high dose i will reduce my weight, so am taking 200mcg everyday. I also have huge pain and swelling in my both foots. Even i take pain killer if it unbearable since frm 4 years. since last 1 year i am using 50mg i am having sleep problem is this because of thyroid ## my Sugar (PP) has raised to 381.8 mg % even after taking care in avoiding use of sugar my TSH is 5.1 T-4is 8.4 and T-3 is 0.92 Please advise me can i take one Thyronorm 50 mcg per day ? what side effect may occur ? ## Mir, yes, it is well known that Thyroid issues may cause sleep problems. Have you consulted your doctor? You may not be in the right dosage of the medication. Govind, these thyroid medications will only help with Thyroid issues, they will not fix your blood sugar problem, unless it is somehow directly related to it, but that is not very common. What has your doctor advised you to do?

T3 is.92 t4 is 19.95 and TSH is 2.42. Am taking thyronorm 25mg one and a half daily since 4 years. Please suggest the right dosage as per my report.
