will there be hard withdrawals for someone who injects 1 8mg dilaudad daily for 4 months? ## It really depends on the person, there are likely some people that won't, but most people probably will experience some withdrawal effects. Learn more Dilaudid details here. The severity will also depend on the person and the way their body reacts to such. Medications and withdrawal effects are highly individualized. Are there any other questions or comments? ## So honestly you might get sick but I inject my dilaudid all the time and usually blow through a g script of 90 on a week... But dilaudid withdrawal is really not that bad it only lasts like 72 hours and the symptoms peak 36 hours after your last dose. While they are intense symptoms it's really easy to get through with some Advil...

kkh, What about the coomment can you give your personal inlighment, am her boyfriend an i want her clean ## I'm sorry, but I'm not totally clear on what you're asking. Are you trying to find out how she can stop Morphine? If so, getting medical assistance would be best. A doctor can help set up a slow tapering schedule that should help minimize the withdrawal effects. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Hi after a ten year opiate addiction I started to run out of money. I was highly functional for the 10 years home owner, business, wife, the hole nine. it was money and my own self torture that brought this to a halt. so 8 months ago I went to a treatment center in Florida not knowing if I would ever be normal again. I found myself completely incompasitated (I was in a wheel chair for two days) the dr there put me on a 5 day taper from 4 mil gram sub down to 2 in 5 days omg it worked within 3 weeks I was better and ready to go home. I felt better than I ever have so I went home and went to meetings. good things began to happen and as we do how quickly I forgot I was a sick person and stopped the meetings when the stress of everyday life came back 8 months later. I relapsed in a matter o...

Can a person who has detoxes from opiates be given Dilaudid for pain? My son has been sent to the ER from rehab and I heard the nurse say that's what they are waiting on. ## Yes, if the doctor deems it appropriate. Dilaudid is classified by the FDA as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. That doesn't mean that he will become instantly addicted, or that they will prescribe a long-term supply. They usually just dose the person at the ER and send them on their way. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am currently addicted to hydromorphine an I do them IV. I been reading and searching a safe way at home to detox. I tried staying in a medical detox but failed a few times recently. I have purchased methadone pills on the street. Because I am sick and tired of always being sick, either looking for ways, and means to get my fix daily and I sat back and seriously decided enough was enough. The time an energy spent getting and doing them is ridiculous as anyone with this addiction knows. I am really just wondering if anyone personally knows how to effectively taper with the pills at home because I do not want to end up in a position where I am gonna be more sick at the end of the taper cause that will defeat my whole purpose of doing this. Any help or advice will be gladly accepted and t...

How long does a person have to stay on suboxone? I heard a long time, sometimes. ## Hi bella, Some people stay on subs for years. They may taper down to just a few mgs but stay on for a long time. Some people will stay on a high dose for a long time. Some folks will just use it for a quick detox for maybe a week. Then some folks will use it for a half a year or so. Once some people get straight for awhile and are getting counceling and going to meetings or what ever they will have there Dr. taper dose down and eventually they jump off and can live a straight life. I don,t think theres any set time limit when it comes to subs.

Trying oxycodone detox. Want to use clonidine for this. But i am on 25mg of metoporol succ and had heart bypass 3 years ago. Any thoughts on this? ## Hello, Richie! How are you? Taking them both tougher can lower your heart rate and blood pressure, which might be dangerous for some people, so they should only be taken together, if your doctor approves and is monitoring you regularly. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and dehydration. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for your reply...and you are correct I am on day 12 of oxycodne....and advice from a local pharmacy..I was told not to use the cloidine. For my personal. Detox..clonidine is great to withdraw from oxycodon. Just not for a heart p...

Can you take tuelonal pm for anxiety and sleep during detoxing suboconr ## Can you take Tylenol pm for anxiety and sleep while detoxing from suboxone ## Hi Teddy, From what I understand, neither Tylenol (Acetaminophen) nor Diphenhydramine (an anthistamine) act on opioid receptors or interact with suboxone in anyway. So personally I don't see how it could possibly interfere with suboxone being inside or outside of your system (during a detox) from a pharmacological point of view. However it would probably be a good idea to double check with your doctor anyways for that added peace of mind. Some alternative considerations that may also be worth looking into are, homeopathic sleep aids, melatonin, magnesium, various herbal preparations, ashwaghanda root, valerian root, white noise, med...

I need to know if there's a such thing as a 5 milligram klonopin or 5 milligram xanax pill. This kid is swearing up and down that they exist and I want to make sure this is legit because I can't find anything about a 5 milligram klonopin or xanax on the internet which is kind of weird. ## Not in the United States? ## Anyone telling you that they can get there hands on a 5 mg Xanax is full of crap. As the other person who responded who is correct. Not legally in the USA. Plus that a large amount to take at once. It's not a med to mess around with. I know first hand due to a doc who prescribed this amount to me for months. The detox was hell so be very careful to anyone who takes high dosages. U can not stop abruptly or you can suffer emotionally and physically. Please don...

I have allways been told that when getting clean you are best to "treat the systems " rather than the disease.... I am sure there is some truth to this but here is my real question.... If a person has 4 steady years of pain meds (oxys, tabs, percocets, ect) what "formula" is the best one you know of to prepare for detoxification if thats what your planning on doing? I have heard of vitamin packs, and cold meds, and just getting zonked out...I mean what are the best remedys for detoxifying or to get you through that 4-6 days ahead? I am really thinking about trying to clean out and just battle my pain on my own.... Anyone care to share? ## Hello, Gary! How are you? Actually, the best method is a slow tapering of the relevant medications. That can prevent the severe withdra...

I was using Vic's/oxys for about 3 years. I finally was able to get into a detoxing center but was only able to stay 6 days. In them 6 days they gave me suboxone 4mg strips twice daily. The last time I used vicodin was 11/10/15 and the last time I had suboxone was 11/16/15 at 630am. Is it possible for me to be having w/d now? And if so from which? And did my body have enough time to build up a tolerance? And yes I went cold turkey from the suboxone. Plz somebody help ## How are you feeling? Have you experienced any withdrawals? You'd likely not experience any immediately, it wouldn't happen, until you missed one or more doses, though the time frame can vary from person to person. The FDA warns that possible withdrawal symptoms may include nausea, dizziness, rebound pain, dep...

I have been on hydrocodone for five years 10 mg for what started out for back pain. The time has come for me to stop since it has become an addiction. I will be out Friday 05/11/2012 and will begin to detox myself @ home. just wanting to know how long they take to get out of your system, and things to do to help while going through the with drawl process. ## While I don't have any personal experience with this medication, I have read that it could be in your system for about a week or so (depending on a number of factors). Usually for drugs like this, I think the safest way to stop taking them is to taper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of seve...

Hello: I live about an hour from the Georgia border with Florida and due to the shut down of all the pill mills and the legitimate doctors scared by the DEA to write any scripts, I need to find a pain clinic or doctor who will write scripts for verifiable spinal injuries and pain. I have been going to the same doctor for 8 years who just retired and am heading for one big painful time not to mention a bad detox that will probably kill me.?? Anyway, any help would be appreciated and I would try and repay the person who helps me. Thanks y'all. ## I'm in the same boat. Maybe u can share any info. I need suboxine in decatur ga area. Please tell me if you can use this drug to help with detoxing from opiates? Would it help with restless leg syndrome and other symptoms? ## Hi Scott, From what I could gather, a round white pill with G 1540 on one side and 10 on the other is reportedly identified as Amlodipine besylate 10mg made by Greenstone Ltd. This particular medication is marketed for use in treating high blood pressure, cardiovascular related ailments and even migraines. However, I don't know if these are some of the conditions you might face while coming off of opiates... And personally, I haven't heard of it anyone using it for this purpose. It may be best to consult your doctor first as s/he would surely be able to assist you in other ways if the Amlodipine was deemed inappropriate. Have you ever looked...

I think it is a dam shame that there isn't concrete information about self detox.as far as morphine to suboxone my dr put me on oxy for a week and on subs after the week within a month I was off everything I started with a half of a strip of suboxone 2 weeks later a quarter and so on so maybe it was 6 weeks It's all about the money for pharmacy pain mgmt it's a shame but when you have chronic pain I guess your only option is to become an addict Find a good dr who will detox you I did detox but I'm back on pain Meds fetynal patch supposedly you build up a tolerance ## Unfortunately, there really isn't, and never will be, any definitive concrete self-detox instructions, because we are all different, so what works for one person, might not work for another. My hubby and I found 2 of these pills. They are shaped like a stop sign, orange in color and have N8 on one side with a wierd shape on the other. Please anyone who might know -------- Help!!!!! ## This is something called Subutex, it has 8mg of buprenorphine and 2mg of naloxone. It is used to help people detox from opiates such as vicodin, percocet, lortab, etc. The bupreorphone is used to help the withdrawal symptoms and the naloxone is to prevent a person from abusing the bupreoprphone, such as crushing it and snorting it or taking too many. ## umm... sorry but you are wrong. Subotex is a WHITE pill, that is oblong shaped and small. The orange pill that is shaped like a stop sign that you found is called a suboxen, which is an opiate blocker. My wife is taking it she is detoxing off oxy's and her psychiatrist prescribed her clonidine she's stage 1 bipolar it seems to help with her mood but it makes her so drowzy and we have a baby this makes her very depressed. Will the drowsiness go away and if so how long does it take? ## Hello, Rick! How is your wife doing? Has there been any change? The drowsiness might actually be due to a double whammy, withdrawal effects from stopping the Oxycodone, and side effects from starting the Clonidine, and yes, things should eventually improve, as her body adjusts. She may also experience headache, dizziness, and diarrhea, according to the FDA. ## Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't answer the time frame part of your question, it can vary from person to person, but on average, most people...

How To Help Someone Who Took 20mgs Of Morphine ## If you feel this person may have taken more than they needed or overdosed, I would strongly recommend getting some activated charcoal at your local health food store. According to Dr. Al Sears, MD. he wrote an article that spoke of: "Most poisons in your body are attracted to charcoal; even prescription drugs. Since your body reacts to most prescription drugs as toxins (that's why there are so many side effects to meds), activated charcoal taken orally will often adsorb prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs, too. . The activated charcoal will fight the poisoning from a medication overdose. That's why every emergency room carries it. It is also used in many different detox programs to help absorb the chronic accu...

ReVia Naltrexone
