My husband got a refill of his oxycodone/apap from the VA that has 4839 over a line and a "v" in script under the line. They usually have 512 on one side and the line on the other side. We are concerned about the difference. He just got his new refill and it is 512 again. So,I had him start taking those until we find out what he has been taking. Help!! ## Hello, Nancy! This is a 500mg Tylenol pill. People are scratching the rest of an M to make it appear as Hyrocodone. Looks Like M 484. Just Be Aware ## @PDR 500, Thanks for the heads up. However, any legitimate patient shouldn't have to worry about this at all. Anyone can avoid such discrepancies by simply obtaining their Rx medication from a licensed pharmacy and not trying to "beat around the bush", if you will. Counterfeits are becoming much more prevalent throughout the world, as money hungry crooks try to cash in on needy pain patients. The best way to protect yourself is to remain legitimate and follow the rules, despite how restrictive they may be.
