My brother is working out of town and went to the hospital because he wasn't feeling well. apparently he had a seizure while in the hospital and they prescribed this medication to him. My concern is whether or not they could have given him something else or was this the best medication without a definate diagnosis of Epilepsy. ## this site is not medical professionals and without knowing his medical history and test results, no one can possibly tell you. When he returns home, I suggest he see his regular doctor. ## This is my point exactly. without having an entire medical history I don't think it was necessary to put him on such a mind altering medication as this without the definate diagnosis of Epilepsy. do you think you could refer me to a doctor that may be able to understa...

My pain medication no longer works. My body stop has responding to them and instead I feel amped up. That's so disheartening, and defeats the purpose. The reason for taking pain meds is because I suffer from 6 major medical diagnosis and I don't what to get into them right now. My physician plays dumb when I ask him. I will say I've been on pain meds for over 11yrs and have had 4 surgeries and another 1 is in the works. Can anyone help? Please and your help is very appropriated. ## There isn't anyway to say that any one medication in a certain dosage is more effective than another, it really depends on the person and what works for them. That said, it's hard to even make a suggestion that you can discuss with your doctor, when you haven't mentioned what you'v...

I was in the hospital last year and was given a shot for pain right after surgery. I had a terrible reaction to the med. I'm not sure if doctor's read this website but until they realize that these drug manufacturers can't be trusted, they will not be able to help their patients. My mom who has Alzheimer's is able to react to changes in different brands of the same meds she's been on. Her caregivers notice and let us know. It's a real shame that the FDA allows such a drastic range in what they are able to put into these generic drugs. Shame, shame on them. We need to protect ourselves against the generic drugs sitting right in our local drug stores. You don't need to be on street drugs to be harmed by bad drugs, they are right at your local pharmacies. Don't let your pharmacist lie to you, they're in it for the money. ## Did anyone experience Seizures on Prozac? My daug...

If Lexamil is not the right medication for me, what would you advise I take instead. First of all, I hate taking pain meds but I was almost completely bedridden for 2 yrs. They gave me my life back and I'll be grateful for the rest of my life. My insurance company dropped me right before I was gonna have surgery to get some relief. So I had no choice but to go with the pain meds. I've been on oxycodone 30/150 per month (5 a day) and MS Contin 200mg 2 times daily since 2009. Had breaks when I could. My point is, nobody knows what my daily life is like. I feel ashamed every month getting refills. Maybe it's in my head but the staff at the pharmacy gives me that "pill seeker" look. I guess all that matters is my doctor trusts me and he knows my complete history. I know I'm not taking them for fun. I'd much rather be normal. Can anyone relate to ...
