Accutane - long term low dose regime
Has anyone been on accutane for a long term low dose regime? I read that some people have take only 20-40mg/wk for like 20 years for psoriasis, eczema, and other skin diseases but not for acne. I think I even read someone using ultra low dose regime for oil control. I am considering this treatment. This regime is more common in Europe from what I read. ## What has your doctor advised? Accutane is very hard to get and use, in the U.S. and there is a very good reason for that. This medication contains the active ingredient Isotretinoin and it has been shown to be a severe Teratogen, so it can cause severe birth defects to any future children you may have. Learn more: There are other side effects it can cause that can also be permanent, such as alopecia and IBS. ## From My Experience...ACC... ...

Is Hydrocodone APAP 5mg 500mg okay for 11 year old at 76 lbs?
I want to know if I can give my 11 year-old daughter who is 76-78 lbs. a Hydrocodone APAP 5mg 500 mg because she broke her thumb (doctor put a splint on) and it is throbbing. Doc just told us give her Ibuprofin but that's not helping so much tonight. Thank you ## Have you tried asking her doctor? The Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so I wouldn't suggest giving it to any child, unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. ## I would not suggest giving your daughter hydrocodone 5/500 the Tylenol dose for her weight is to much . I would agree with your doctor according to her weight she should take 3.5 tsp of children's Motrin. The reason for having pain at nighties she is most likely not elevating her hand on a pillow. Adco Alzam at the age of 5
My doctor subscriped adco alzam 0.25mg. Can you use alzam for a child at the age of 5 for anxiety. ## This contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, which is a Benzodiazepine, which is commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. However, there haven't been any controlled studies done on their use in children, but there have been reports of the side effects being even more severe in children, than in adults. And, to be completely honest, if it were my child, I would not let them use such a medication at such a young age. I have 2 main reasons for this, the first being that they are extremely habit forming, with regular use... And that fact leads to my second reason, if doses are ever missed, or you ever stop giving it to them abruptly, it is liable to cause some severe wit... ...

How long for side effects to wear off?
I have been on mirtazapine at 15mg for two weeks, I feel like a walking zombie and my moods are vile! I am agitated and hot tapered with my husband and children making me a nightmare to live with. Today the doctor has prescribed me 30mg as I have always been on such a high dose of Citalopram before we tapered off, that she thinks my side effects may be because I need more antidepressant in the system but agreed it might be because they don't suit me but we won't know until we've tried them for 5-6weeks. My question is will I always be tired and zombie like?...and also will I always be hot tempered and agitated? Or will these symptoms wear off as at the moment I just feel like stopping the damn things! Would really appreciate the opinions of those who have experienced this dr... ...
