i am taking tramadol right now and it is not working enough... can i take oxycodone for the same pain? ## Hi Amber, Based on the personal reviews of others, I'd imagine oxycodone to be considerably stronger than tramadol. There have been a number of patients on here complaining that tramadol doesn't do anything for them and even go so far as wondering why it's even classified as a pain killer. I don't know if that's an overstatement since everyone reacts differently to it, but if you have a prescription for oxycodone, it should be a much more potent alternative. Regarding the differences between the two medications you can learn more about them in the links below: Tramadol Details Oxycodone Details I hope this helps! ## Hello Amber I take tremadal n gabapentin 300mg ...

I am on ocxycodone for pain. I am out but hav an old script for tramadol. How many 50mg tramadol would I have to take for it to balance out to one 10 mg oxycodone? ## Tramadol is much more powerful than many physicians claim it is. Get it filled. It will replace the narcotic effects of the other opiate & common dose is 2tabs at 50mg each. I've been to hell & back with tramadol withdrawals & vice versa with the others for many years; pharmacists all over the country will tell you the truth: one opiate replaces the other when it comes to withdrawals. Period ## Hello, James! How are you? While it does work very well for some people, Tramadol is actually a much weaker opiate, so it would require approximately 150mgs of it to be equal to each 10mg dose of Oxycodone. Of course...

I was taking hydrocodone 7.750 now they have me on norco 10/325. I don't feel that the new medication is working as well, I get really upset stomach aches and also takes long to heal my pain which I have two bad disc the pain is so bad like if I'm about to give birth or if someone is tearing my back apart, can somebody help me please. ## All of these are opiate analgesics, but Tramadol is the weakest of what you've listed, Hydrocodone would be next and Oxycodone is the strongest of these. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, if the Norco isn't working, you may want to speak to your doctor about trying Oxycodone or Percocet, which combin...

What is the difference between tramadol hcl 50 mg and oxycodone 30 mg tablets ## Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic of the opioid class, but it is not classified as a narcotic. It really doesn't work as well as the actual narcotics do, for some people. Oxycodone is an actual narcotic and is much stronger and more effective for a lot of people. Since they do share similar characteristics, the side effects that they both can cause are very similar and can include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and drowsiness. Are there any other questions?

I have a rheumatoid condition and am prescribed both Oxycodone and Tramadol. I alternate between them, not wishing to become addicted. What I'm unsure of is whether they are different enough chemically to prevent my body getting too used to either one. I also take a day off here and there, but I just feel very wary. I have to do pain management, but I just want to verify that taking Oxycodone one day and Tramadol the next doesn't strike my body chemically as being the same thing. Many thanks for any helpful response! ## There is a difference between addiction and tolerance of pain medicines. When you regularly take almost any medication your body can build up a tolerance to the medicine, which will leave a chronic pain patient need dosage adjustments. This is the reason the pain...

Is there any benefit of one over the other? ## Tramacet contains the two active ingredients Acetaminophen + Tramadol; which you can take a look at by following the link below... Percocet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen + Oxycodone. Very similar to Tramacet. To view information on these two ingredients please follow the link below... As you can see from the active ingredients listed above, Tramadol and Oxycodone seem to make the difference between these two narcotics. I personally don't believe either one has any benefit over the other, but it would all depend on how your body copes with the slight difference in each one that determines which one suits you best. Do you have any more questions or concerns? If so, please p...
