I am going through therapy for my back and need spine surgery. I have been taking percocet for the past year now and my Dr wants to change my medication. He suggested something that starts with the letter N but didnt spell it right for me. Does anyone know of pain medication that starts with that letter. I have just moved to south FL. and been on methadone for 10 years. I have all my records, but Dr's. in FL are all scared to take on new people from out of state. I have been taking Opana for over 4 years now and it has been a God send. It is by far the best pain medication that I have ever taken, and I have been prescribed many over the years. I went to the pharmacy this month and when I opened my bottle I noticed that the pills are round now instead of an octaganal shape. Have been on pain meds for 10 years. I realize the issues going on with pain meds but there has got to be a method(s) that will work because some people are getting their meds filled with no problems. I have supplied all the documentation, go only to one doc and one pharmacy but even they are getting more and more difficult to deal with. The last time she told me (pharm) that she had to have a copy of my pain management contract before she fills any more prescriptions. I had my first child at 17 and my second child at 18. I am in a lot of pain due to having 3 epidurals that really messed my back up. I am the care giver for my wife and she has been diagnosed with staff infection, 3 small open sores on her butt. (by a PA filling in for our family doctor). I'm only 30 yet have been fighting with doctors to get something that relieves my daily pain for 8 years. I am not a candidate for surgery YET. I have DDD, protruding discs, herniated discs, and a "turned" pelvis, all from 2 car accidents. No legalities to worry about I just want a doctor that will actually do what they say, like run an MRI, some physical therapy/adjusting, and some prescriptions for pain.
