I have been taking doxyphyllin (brand name synasma) for 3-4 years now along with telekast-L on alternate years. Recently, I was told by a doctor that it was not advisable to take tablets since they contain steroids. Is this true? I have been prescribed these tablets as a combination with inhalers. Both together help my breath intact and prevent attacks from happening. Please tell me if the above is true.
