What i want to know is if i take a medicine :- 1. 500 mg tablet, orally 2. 500 mg injection intravenously is it the same ? or is the injection more effective ? Does 500 mg mean that 500 miligram of the said drug will be reaching the target tissue ? because if yes then both pill and injection should have the same effect. P.S. - I did try googling it , found no satisfactory answer.

I want to find out the pharmaceutical com. That uses RDY on Zolpidem. I believed the # on the other side was 679 or769 and is oblong with a corrugation in the middle. ## Hello, Bernie! How are you? I believe you're referring to the 10mg Zolpidem tablet that has the marking RDY 479, which is manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories. The FDA classifies this medication as a sedative hypnotic that is used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, funny taste in mouth, drowsiness, sedation and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help with?

What does 10-5 mean on Lortabs? My prescription doesn't seem to be working for my pain and I was wondering if it meant Lortab 10 mg or Lortab 5 mg. So if it is 5 I can get a stronger MG ## What it seems to be is that your doctor was prescribing the tablets with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. I could be wrong, since I am not a medical professional, but I have seen it abbreviated this way before, from other similar posts. And no, a doctor cannot write it as an either/or prescription and let you pick which one you want, even if they tried, no pharmacy would fill it that way. More than likely, they will call your doctor to double check the prescription, to be certain of what exactly they are supposed to dispense to you. If your current dosage is not working for your p...

my wifes lisinopril-po 20mg tablets twice daily was changed by her Doctor to 40mg's of lisinopril-eq, and I am trying to understand what the difference is between P.O E.Q so I know exactly what this medicine is doing for her overall health. Thank You ## Hello, Slim! How are you? PO just means per os (orally), as in she's supposed to swallow the tablets and the eq means equivalent, as in the pharmacy can give her a generic or multiple tablets/capsules, as long as it is an equivalent dosage. For example, if the pharmacy doesn't have the 40mg on hand, they are allowed to give her 2 of the 20mg ones, or etc. as long as it equals the 40mgs that she's been directed to take. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, heada...

I am a Pcod patient and have been taking homeopathy medicine for about a year, but with no improvement. I saw a gynecologist and she prescribed some hormonal tablets for me. I am going mad at my periods... I want to get it naturally. Please help me. Tell me possibly what I should do? ## Hello, Rosy! How are you doing? If you've already tried the natural supplements and they haven't worked, then trying hormones is really the only option you have left. They do successfully help many women with PCOD/PCOS and it doesn't mean that you'll have to take them forever. Small round white pill with am R amd no numberssupposed to be winstrol ## A letter like that is usually just a manufacturers logo, so it can stand for whatever they are using it for, such as the company name. In some cases it could also stand for the trade name of a tablet, or the active ingredient. I have no information, however, on one with just an R on it and whether or not it is Winstrol. Where was it obtained?

What does the "LEG" mean on the prescription bottle immediately following the dosage (20 MG TAB LEG)? This was for acid reflux medication, nothing to do with legs. ## I found the answer. LEG means Lower Esophageal-Gastrointestinal (symptoms, treatment). The medication was for severe heartburn and acid reflux. ## Thanks for the helpful feedback Bruce! Just out of curiosity, which medication are you taking exactly? At first glance I was under the unique impression that LEG might've been an abbreviation for the active ingredient (since I don't normally see the indications mentioned on a prescription bottle - typically just the drug name in my experience), but what you have found certainly makes sense - especially if the medication was prescribed for a related condition. I am taking setraline hydrochloride 25 mg per day and clonozepam mouth disolving tablets .5 at night. Now i want to know how to reduce this two medicine. Any one can help me. ## The withdrawal effects, if you have only been using them as prescribed, are not usually severe, they are mainly annoying. The problem with these types of medications, if you stop them cold turkey is the rebound effect, since your body has to adjust to no longer having them. This can result in worsened depression and anxiety. Have you talked to your doctor about reducing them, yet? In most cases, they should be tapered, slowly, to help avoid these symptoms. If neither are time released, then you can safely split the tablets and start taking less of them.
