If this holds true and I did the math correctly, then 7.5mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 11.25mg of Morphine (7.5 x 1.5 =11.25); and 10mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 15mg of Morphine (10 x 1.5 =15). My pain specialist had me on 40 mg Opana ER and 15 mg Morphine Sulfate IR for 8 years. I had to find another doctor and starting next week I will be taking 30 mg Oxymorphone ER every 12 hours and 10 mg Oxycodone IR up to 3 per day. 12 years ago I was in a really bad accident. I woke up with 6 broken vertabrae, 11 more that we were told are consuidered the equivalent of severely stress fractured, my cocyx had been removed, my frontal lobes partially seperated, "no functional balance mechanisms" a damaged right hip and two shattered knees. And a bunch of mush more minor injuries. For some people, me for one, any of the codones, including oxycodone, is virtually useless. Dilaudid is a semi synthetic keytone or Hydromorphone HCL, so it is i feel its twice the potency of morphine, short acting though. I take 70mg Methadone HCL and Dilaudid for breakthrough pain. I did also get Percocet 10/325 but after this new law he would not give me a one. I never ever felt like a dope addict but yet feel they are scrutinizing me at some pharmacies.
