I usually take 2 lortab 7.5 every 6 hours. I haVe been reading a lot about the different in hydro and oxcy and the Tylenol in and what the numbers mean. Talking with friends who only have limited to none knowledge about the subject I heard about a lortab 10 or lartab 20? Is it more hydro fro pain relief or just more Tylenol added to them? I've had 3 back surgery and I am want more of the burning pain to go away. To me lartabs worked better than oxcy 5 or 10s. ## The highest amount of medication in Lortab, or any other hydrocodone combination med is 10 mg hydrocodone and 325 acetaminphen. The most amount of acetaminphen that a prescription meds can contain now is 325 mg.

The Lortab 10/500 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The Endocet 10/650 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 650mgs of Acetaminophen. So, in the narcotic pain reliever amount, they are the same. Since these have the highest amount available of the Hydrocodone in them, coupled with the Acetaminophen, it is very important not to try and double up on them, due to the danger of overdose and the Acetaminophen toxicity. I take Lortab 10's, Fentanyl 100mg patch every 3 days and Ibuprofen. I stay in constant pain and wanted to know what I could switch to that would be stronger and help with my constant pain. if the 10 mgs of hydrocodone(loracets) are the same as any other pain relievers containing 10 mgs of hydrocodone (ex: narco, loratab....) why do the 10 mg loracets seem to work twice as good as the others. ## Because the different amount of Acetaminophen plays a role, it basically enhances the effects of the narcotic, so it works better. However, they do have to limit the amount of Acetaminophen that is used, because if a person takes too much of it in a day, it can be severely toxic. which is stronger hydroco/acetamin 5-500 or Hydroco 10-500mg? Is it the same as Vicadin? I have a large tear in my rotator cuff. I just was given the 5-500mg. They told me it was Vicadin at the doctors office. I already had a bottle mostly untouched of the 10-55 because a doctor seemed worried that it was addictive and gave me tramadol which I can't say touches the pain. ## The one with the higher amount of the Hydrocodone is stronger, since it is the narcotic and the Acetminophen just helps it to work better. I take 3 Tylenol 4's a day & just got 7.5/325mg hydrocodone today. Would lortab 10 or tylenol #4 be stronger than 7.5 hydrocodone? I did not get the script filled yet. What is the difference in percocet 10/325 and lortab 10/500, I know the amount of tylenol is different, but I've taken both and the lortab seem to work better than the percocet. Why would a blue lortab 10 turn white? ## Are you certain that it was blue and is a Lortab or the generic equivalent? Are there any markings on it? Some pills may change color if they are coated and get wet, so the color washes off, but I am not familiar with any Lortab made that way. ## If it's a Watson 540, then it didn't "turn" white. Watson Pharmacuticals is changing the color. The white Watson 540 is still a generic Lortab 10/500. Does anyone know what Watson did or why they changed their formula for Lortab 10/500? It used to be blue and when I picked up my refill today they are now white. I still have a few days of my blue left but I swapped a few so I can try the white. I'm waiting for it to start working and I took it over 2 hours ago. My rx is 1-2 every 3 hours not to exceed 7 in a day.
