I have been on Prednisone for 4 days so far. 6 the first day, 5 the second, 4 the third and supposed to be 3 today. I took double dose of prednisone 60mg in one day 9 hours apart for sinus infection. Should I be worried? ## I was given a 24 hr prednisone shot yesterday to help with my tight chest and coughing. They prescribed 60 mg for 3 days as I had been taking 40mg 2 days prior. I would like to split the dosage so I don't cough at night. I have 20mg prednisone tablet 3 tabs daily x3days, 2tabs dailyx3 then 1 tab daily 3x daily. This is going to be 2 strong for me can it be cut down the dose or can I cut the pills.?
