I have been taking pantop 40 for more than 6 years now just when I wake up. I am scared of using the drug for so long and want to stop it but feel sick if I don't take it. Can you please let me know if it is harming me in any way and what other alternative is there. I am obese and suffer from slip disc and severe cramps in my legs when I sleep. Kindly guide. I recieved a prescription for Pantoprazole Sodium DR 40mg. But my pill looks completely different from what I've had in the past and is different from the descriptions I can find on what it should look like. I have a white, oval tablet with "97" imprinted on one side. The imprints vary between red or black in the same bottle. What do I have in my hands? My father recently took Pantop 40 for the treatment of gastritis along with Opidol (tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg) while he was having the red erythematous patches in his extremities. There were some of patches in the lower abdomen. All these persists along with some abdomen pain. ## Has the gastritis improved, at all?
