What Is P 40 Oval Pill

Hi - Does anyone know what this pill is? It is peach/pinkish, oval/elliptical in shape, blank on one side, and has a 40 on the other. It is not scored. I can't seem to find it in any database anywhere - thanks for any help! ## I'm sorry, but I can't find a listing for a tablet with just the number 40 on it. Can you provide any more information? Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere?

The primary reason I don't know for certain is because I haven't located a photo of the pill to verify the arrow-like marking on the back. I purchase Topzole p40 . Is there a generic which I can purchase over the counter, " pharmacy " everytime I need to get a prescription ? ## TopZole contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a "prescription-only" medication here in the US; used to treat erosive esophagitis and other conditions involving excess stomach acid. A family member of mine takes Prilosec (Omeprazole) - which is regarded as an over the counter alternative for these same types of conditions. I'd imagine though, that it may or may not be quite as efficient compared to its prescription counterpart, but certainly worth a try if you need something for excess stomach acid.
