what color is a oxycontin 30 mg. ## The new ones should be marked OP 30 and they should be brown, the same as the original OC 30 was, Purdue has kept them the same colors. Note: This only applies to Oxycontin. If what you have is some other formulation, then it can be any color the manufacturer wants it to be and only the markings on the tablet will enable us to figure out what it is. What are the markings on the tablet in question?

OxyContin Oxycodone

Oxycodone, sold under the brand names Roxicodone and OxyContin (which is the extended release form) among others, is a semi-synthetic opioid medication used for treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is highly addictive[12] and a common drug of abuse.[13][14] It is usually taken by mouth, and is available in immediate-release and controlled-release formulations.[13] Onset of pain relief typically begins within fifteen minutes ...

Had a TKR 8/11/15. Sent home with Norco then hydro codone acetaminophen 10-325. Worked a few days. Got really bad shin pain can't stand up. Then Dr gave me OxyContin 10. Time realease. Suppose take 1 tablet every 12 hours. Took 2 doses so far. At 5:00 pm then 5 am. Not working. Any suggestions ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? It may not be a strong enough dose to alleviate your pain. Have you informed your doctor? He may need to raise your dosage. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

my med had oc on it for oxicontin but now it has op. What does that stand for ## I am not certain exactly what it stands for, however, it has replaced the original Oxycontin with the OC marking. Oxycontin OP cannot be crush, chewed or broken down. If someone tries, it basically turns into a gummy goo, that is supposed to only dissolve in stomach acid and retain its time released properties. Side effects remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## Has anyone out there heard of a brand new formulation called Oxycontin RF I got a letter from Purdue( I have been bugging them forever- so they have my address in records.) The letter was addressed to a person of the same last name as me, but different first name, and it got sent ...

Oxycodones are the best and worst things. They bring love and they bring hate. They saw me through the best times and gave the very worst. The ups and downs follow. But no matter how much i hate them I love them ten times more. And that's the problem. I think I might be dependent. Anyone else? ## If you think that is addiction you best never take methadone. The oxy is min. compared to some others. Never ever take any pain meds for a duration, or addict or not, your body will respond by dependence. Not good unless your having a surgery, chronic pain cannot work etc. If you were not an addict you are now. However, you can choose to sit through the withdraw periods and they will pass I promise you. Just keep busy and move forward. If you find yourself taking more yes you are an addict ...

Alot of us on Oxycodone use it for pain relief. We that use the drug for its relief it gives us. I have a spinal disease where my spine is growing together. a.s. (a.s.sufferers speak up!!) I need immediate release, the time release simply does not work for me. This is why my doctor prescribes me Roxicodone 30 and 15 for breakthrough pain. All I did was bite my er's and all was ok. Now I have to think I'm eating plastic which causes other problems. I don't have long on this earth but as an American who votes, pays taxes and works full time I deserve a drug that give me enough relief to get my ass up at 3am to get to work so I can pay my mortgage. Who's idea was this anyways. government mandated?

Oxycontin 80 or 110mg is better than oxa forte or it's the same. ## Hello, Karl! How are you? Oxa Forte contains Diclofenac with Codeine, so it is actually much weaker than the Oxycodone in the Oxycontin. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

i have hear they are pulling the oxycontin op off of the shelf. once the ones already made are gone they are going back to the original formula. does anyone know if there is any truth to this. i heard reason was because, exspecially with older people, the ops are not digesting. cases of older people haveing bowell movements and the entire pill has not disssolved. this along with other problems. ## No, so far they have not released any information stating that they are intending to return to the original formula. When it comes to time released medications, it is often normal for someone to see the pill in their stool, because that is just the shell and is not digested. However, this doesn't mean that the medication has not been released. Are there any other questions or comments? ## ...

Yesterday I picked up a 20 day supply of oxycontin 30 mg. It was a 20 day script. At 2 a day my px was for 60. I was HORRIFIED when the pharmacist billed me for 325.00, including my insurance discount. They claimed there is not a generic oxycontin. Oxycodone 30 mg was $15 for 60...so needless to say I was shocked!!! Is there an equivalent slow release to replace 30 mg of oxycontin? There has got to be something. I got into a bit of a habit with taking too many 30 oxycodone, which is why I was put on a slow release. Any advice out there? The pharmaceutical companies are gouging us beyond belief, and I've got a medical condition due to an accident where I need these pills, at least for another 2 months or so. The $325.00 price has me in a state of high anxiety however. Is hydromorphin...

I got Cancer of the EPIGLOTTIS, getting treatment with Radiation. New Oxy 30 MG swells up like a sponge making it harder to swallow which make it hang up in the tumor just in front of the voice box, base of tongue. Just when you think you swallowed it with water you cough it out an hour later twice the size it went in. Without knowing it you might cough it up on the street, garbage or toilet. This kind of cancer makes you spit & cough. Told the doctor about it, lost about a half dozen of them coughing them up. Now use a hanky to spit into out come the oxy looking like a baby marshmellow. How sick can the brains of these people be who thought this up? Treat people like s***. I have no other problem with other pill I have to take. The whole damn system is wrong. The DEA is now the Ges...

Cant aford my prescription so need help ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Purdue Pharma does have an assistance program for those that can't afford their medications. Your doctor needs to request an application for you by calling them at 800-599-6070. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Hi I dropped my 80mg oxycontin in the sink and it got all slimy is it still safe to take ## Hello, Help! How are you? No, it would be best to just dispose of this one. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I don't see why not. Just give it a decent rinse and enjoy.

i do not think the op version of oxycontin are working.they seem to go through me without digestion.i have literally seen them in the toilet up to 6 hours after ive taken them so im not getting relief from the pain. are the old version ones still made and provided to pharmecies? ## No, the old ones are no longer available. However, it is normal to find the tablet shell of these time released Oxycontin OP in your stool, later. However, it is just the shell, the medication is slowly released from it. As to the problem with them not working, there have been many complaints about this, as well. You can contact both Purdue Pharma and the FDA to let them know of your complaints, the more people that do so, the more attention they will pay to the problem. I have a blue round pill that has an R on the top and 215 on the bottom. I cannot remember if it is my Oxycontin or the generic for it. Can you please let me know if it is my Oxycontin? ## Yes it is the same thing... it is oxicodone. Blue round with R and 215 is oxicodone 30mg. ## Is there any way that the R on the pill could actually be an A ? The reason I ask is because a blue round pill with A 215 on it is Oxycodone 30 mg, generic for Roxicodone. What does HCI mean on OxyContin packet . ## HCL stands for hydrochloride, it just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from. It's basically all Oxycodone HCL. light purple with abg one side and 30 on the other I was told this is an oxycontin 30 is it ## Oxycontin is the name brand for the time released formulation of Oxycodone manufactured by Purdue Pharma and there is no generic of it available. This tablet does contain 30mgs of Oxycodone, but it is not time released, it is a regular release formulation, which would be a generic for Roxicodone. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more: Are there any questions or comments?

I took my first Oxy 60 OP. It did not work well...reminded me of the generic ones a few years ago. Will Purdue ever go back to the Oc formula? ## They are not intending to, at the moment, however, many people have been reporting problems with this new formulation not working as well or causing odd side effects. I need a new pm doc anywhere in Louisiana or nearby state asap. I have med rec;s and legit pain but my doc got n2 trouble and cannot prescribe my meds any longer. ive been on oxy's for years and cant find a doc who will take my case. ## The first question I always find myself asking people in your situation is... How have you been looking for a new doctor? And the reason I'm asking is because if you're calling them and telling them you need to have certain medications prescribed, none of them are likely to even let you get in the door, because most doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior. Learn more pain management details here. Thus, what you need to do is set up an appointment with a new doctor and just make sure they get a full copy of your records. When they see w...
