Nexium 40 Mg Equivilents
Is Pantoprazole sod dr 40 mg the same drug as Nexium 40 mg? My husband was given Nexium samples by the doctor but was prescribed the Pantoprazole. Thank you ## Hi Barb, From what I could gather, they appear to be completely different drugs that are used for similar purposes. My guess is that the doctor wanted him to sample the Nexium to see if he responded better to one or the other. Nexium contains the active ingredient Esomeprazole & Pantoprazole happens to be the active ingredient in and of itself; but both are classified as proton pump inhibitors. I hope this info helps to shed some light on the subject! ...

nexium40 mg and shelcal 500mg
I am a 51 year old woman and have been suffering from reflux and have been taking nexium 40 for many years. My GP recently asked me to take calcium to improve bone health. Can you advise if there are any issues taking these together? ## Hello, Suzanne! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed, but you should always double check such information. The Shelcal is a calcium supplement, so it may cause some constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Nothing more. Thanks for your response. ## I was diagnosed 6 years ago with two stomach ulcers which were the non bacterial kind. My doc put me on Nexium and I became "addicted". I couldn't go 2 days without the pill even long after the ulcers had healed. My health deteriorated. I gained weight.... ...

Can I Split Nexium 40 Capsules In Half
My doctor changed my Nexium prescription from 40 mg to 20 mg. Can I separate the pills I have in half so I don't waste what I have? ## No, you can't safely split a capsule, because there is no way to ensure that you are evenly splitting the amount of the medication that is inside them. Learn more Nexium details here. Why did your doctor lower the dosage? Unless there was some reason for doing so, there is likely little harm in finishing up what you have of the higher one and then moving to the lower dosage, since this is just a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces. ...

baralgin, nexium and zerodol side effect
I've been taking zerodal for 5 days and started taking beralgin yesterday as well as beralgin. Does all these three bring side effects of swollen mouth and finger tips and feet ## Before I cover any of these medications, it is important that you know that swelling in the mouth is not a side effect, that can be a sign of a serious allergic reaction and it is very important that you contact your doctor immediately! Zerodol contains the active ingredients Aceclofenac and Paracetamol, it is used to treat pain and swelling. The common side effects from it can include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. Baralgan contains the active ingredient Analgin or Metimizole, this is another pain reliever. It is another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, just like the Aceclofenac in... ...

I don't have any side effects from Nexium .... .will this new pill have side effects? ## Hello, Donna! How are you? It is a different medication, but in the same drug class, they are both proton pump inhibitors. It may cause you to experience side effects, there's no way to know, until you try it and see. The side effects can include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain. Are there any other questions or concerns? ...

What is the drug dexilant used for and what are the side affects?
The medication is a blue delayed release capsule. It has markings on it that appear to be an AP intertwined. Switched me to 60 mg dexilant , worked great for reflux, then I could not stop diarhea lasted 11 days! Called dr. Said it was side effect , put me back to nexium 40 mg twice daily! Nexium And Calcium Magnesium Vitamin D Supplements Taken With Meloxicam
I now am taking nexium 45 minutes before my first meal of the day. At the next meal I take a calcium/vit D/magnesium supplement. When can I take meloxican for inflammation in my sacroiliac joint and so that mobic will not interfere with the benefits of the supplement and nexium. ## Hello, My research states that Meloxicam can be administered without regard to timing of meals or accompanying administration of antacids. I'm not quite sure if this would work the same when it comes to vitamins- but I believe you would be ok to take the Meloxicam about 30 min- 1 hour after you take the vitamins. If you experience any changes in the effectiveness of your vitamins while taking the Meloxicam, it would be a good idea to contact your physician. You can learn more about this drug on the page f... ...

daughter in law was taking savella with nexium, amrix er, ambien cr, hydrocodone apap, lorazepam, apri 28 day and committed suicide. Could these led to her death? ## I am very sorry for your loss. Have you tried discussing your concerns with her doctor? Do you know what type of conditions she was being treated for? ## I have recently started savella for fibromyalgia. doctor gave me hydrococone acetaminophen 5 325 tb developed esophgrus burning what do i
Help me Dr gave me Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325TB. My Esophgrus is burning so bad, I now have runny nose and a cough. He gave it to me for leg and back pain. I should say that I also take Nexium fore acid reflex ## Hello, Lee! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. How much water did you take it with? This frequently occurs if someone takes a pill with just a small sip of liquid, or swallows it dry. With the runny nose and cough being added to the mix, that leads me to suspect that it might have your GERD acting up. If you did take it with a full, 8 ounce glass of water, then you need to consult your doctor, because this just might not be the right medication for you to take, since something else may be causing the problem. ...

this doesn't look like the normal generic pill i take called pantoprazole 40mg can you identify?
small round pale yellow identifier 124 on one side only ## IC PANTOPRAZOLE SOD DR 40 MG T SUN , small yellow pill with 124 on one side. Please tell me if this is a form of Nexium? Thank-you very much. Gayle~ ## Pale yellow round coated solid with the #124 on one side ## My pantoprazole 40 MG tabs don't look like the descrition on my print out from the pharmacy, Walgreens. They have different numbers on them than the sheet says. ## Just to clear things up, the round, yellow tablet with the 124 on it in black is a 40mg Pantoprazole delayed release tablet, a generic for Protonix. No, this is not the same active ingredient as what is in Nexium, though it is in the same family of medications, proton pump inhibitors. They work by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach to help... ...

ae1 40 mg pink tablet
Can you advise what category this falls in , is this a morphine based medication ? ## Hi Gareth, The only pill I've found that matches this description is a foreign version of Nexium, possibly from Taiwan. From what I can gather this pill contains (40 mg) of the active ingredient Esomeprazole. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (brand name Nexium) which reduces acid secretion through inhibition of the H+ / K+ ATPase in gastric parietal cells. By inhibiting the functioning of this transporter, the drug prevents formation of gastric acid. It is used in the treatment of dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease (PUD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD/GERD) and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole is the S-enantiomer of omeprazole (brand name Prilosec/Losec). Generic versions of Eso... ...
