muscel relaxer ## I just started taking Robaxin (methocarbomal) to relieve my fibromyalgia. It makes me drowsy, but I don't seem to have relief with tension. Does it take a while to start working. It has been a week now. ## This is a muscle relaxant, generally used to treat muscle spasms and strains, so it is not a regular pain reliever or tension reliever and will not work like one. Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, nausea and dizziness.

I took two 750mg Methocarbomal pills and ONE 10mg Cyclobenzaprine HCl pill. I am a 180lbs female at 5'7". I'm worried that it may be too much, but the methocarbomal by itself wasn't easing my pain. Will I be okay to sleep or should I seek medical help? ## How are you doing? Are you okay? First of all, muscle relaxants are not the same as analgesics, so you can't expect them to ease your pain as an actual pain medication would. These can ease pain caused by muscle pain and spasms, but that's the most they do. You can learn more Methocarbamol details here and you can learn more Cyclobenzaprine details here. And it is never wise to double up on any medication and to add another in the same category, that's a very dangerous thing to do. These can cause depression...

It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain. Methocarbamol is also used together with rest and physical therapy to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury. I'm not exactly sure how it would effect broken bones, that's something you would have to discuss with your doctor. One would think that it could help with pain by taking extra stress off of the muscles surrounding the bone(s). Get emergency ...

With this med, can I still take my vinegar pill with soy lecithin and b complex? I'm thinking the vinegar will dilute or take away the potency of the methocarbomal? ## Hello, Spasms! How are you? I really don't think the tablet form of the ACV will have much effect on it, but without studies to know, I can't be certain. I'd suggest checking with your pharmacist and/or trying to make sure to make sure to separate the dosing of each by a few hours. Methocarbamol may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Are there any other questions or concerns?
