oval white pill with line in middle for breaking. I found them in my wifes purse ## Vicodin is a very powerful narcotic pain killer. Also very addictive! ## To be exact, this is a Acetaminophen 500mgs and Hydrocodone 5mgs, and as the other posters said, a narcotic pain reliever. ## Mr. Verwon, Sir, I have a question that maybe you could answer. I have blockage in my lower left leg from the knee down. I had surgery to insert a couple of Stents. This is a very painful deal. I was wondering that since it is blockage, would the Medication help any if it is not allowed to circulate to the effcted area, and if not, why would a MD allow you the possible chance of getting addicted to a pain medication such as Vicodine or Percocet, in which I have been taking both with no relief of pain. ## How ...

I want to know if an 627 helps back pain like a m357 ## Hi rebecca, I can't speak for everyone since both of these medications tend to effect each person differently. But in regards to their individual potency, Tramadol is often touted as a much weaker pain medication than your typical narcotic, such as Norco (M357). Comments from other people have also mentioned that Tramadol should probably be considered an over-the-counter medication relative to the dose. If you haven't tried either medication yet, it may be best to talk to your doctor first about giving each of them a trial run, to see how your body responds. Usually the weaker meds are easier to taper off in the long run, so I can only assume that Tramadol would likely be a good candidate to start out with until you can rea...

Chemical wise they are essentialy the same. Hydrocodone(5mg)/Acetaminophen(500mg). Each manufacturer may use different fillers for there pills but, you will be recieveng the same dose from either one ## Hi Loiselle, Thanks for sharing this bit of information! That slight variation of inactive ingredients seems to have such a big impact on how the drug itself is metabolized and used by your body. Unfortunately, I think these fillers are part of the reason why so many people react differently to the same medications and experience different side effects. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

are v 3604 and m357's the same pill just diff look and markings? ## Hello, Roach! How are you? No, while they both contain 5mgs of Hydrocodone, the amounts of Acetaminophen are different. The tablet with the 3604 V marking only contains 325mgs of it, while the M 357 tablet contains 500mgs of it and is no longer available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

can you take a tramanol and a m357 back to back? ## I would definitely not recommend doing so. There are potentially harmful or fatal interactions between these two medications. These interaction warnings note the following: "Concomitant use of tramadol increases the seizure risk in patients taking other opioids. These agents are often individually epileptogenic and may have additive effects on seizure threshold during coadministration. CNS- and respiratory-depressant effects may also be additive. In patients who have been previously dependent on or chronically using opioids, tramadol can also reinitiate physical dependence or precipitate withdrawal symptoms. Concomitant use of tramadol and other opioids should be avoided in general. Tramadol should not be used in opioid-dependent p...
