Just got to the end of week one taking Lyrica @75mg twice daily. I have had Lupus for ten years and my nerves are getting fried. Has anyone else experienced MORE pain at the beginning of this process? I usually have intermittent pain in various parts of my body from the Lupus which worsens if I'm having a flare up. But since starting the Lyrica my pain level has increased in every part of my body simultaneously. I'm hoping that this will go away after a few weeks but my fear is that it will just keep getting worse, so for now I feel like I'm just poisoning myself with every dose. I haven't seen a post on here describing this situation yet, hopefully someone can relate and help calm my nerves. (Double entendres not intended) Thanks ## That is always possible with such med...

Is this also good for pain relief for neck pain. ## As far as small pains like neck pain from an accident. This drug is so not the best out of all the pain management type of things. They all have side effects that are some what simular and I know of only one person that I know that can take this drug without problems. For small things related to accidents, go with something else. I had all the side effects, my emoitions were off the chart, I lost my job within 3 days of taking this because I sat at my desk and cried for an hour after just one pill. I couldn't think, form sentences, I had a headache that was just incredible. There were alot more things I just can't remember all of them. Please remember people don't take these new drugs lightly. Research what the company says...

Is the vision loss permanent? I've been off Lyrica for almost 2 months n my vision hasn't gotten better. ## Hello, Pamela! How are you? After 2 months, with no improvement, it is time to have things checked out by an ophthalmologist. There is a chance that you may have something else going on that was unrelated to the Lyrica, or perhaps it caused some permanent damage. How long were you on it and what was the dosage?

I have been taking lyrica for some time now...it has been in capsule form. I went to a new pharmacy and now it is a little white pill......is it still lyrica. It is white with the number 10 on the back the front has a line in the middle ( like a line you would cut it in half with or something ) someone please tell me if it is lyrica before I have to start taking it. Thank you ## I am not finding any Lyrica/Pregabalin listed in tablet form. All the listings I am finding for it are capsules. Have you contacted the pharmacy to double check? That's what I would do, if it were me, to make sure that I didn't receive the wrong medication. ## I think you should take these tabs back to the pharmacy fir positive ID before taking them. Pharmacists can make mistakes. A friend of mine was gi...

Use of this drug to for pain suppression from sciatica pain ## For fibro:I was on 25mg of lyrica then upped to 50mg. Had lots of blurred vision on the 50mg, which progreesed to loss of concentration. Brought myself back to 25mg, still have some blurred vision. but am taking it at night to sleep, the savella 12.5mg in am. So far it's a great combo... ## Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, it is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain. The FDA lists the typical side effects Pregabalin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and fatigue. Are you still taking just the 25mg dose? Savella is antidepressant that also helps with nerve pain, and may cause very similar side effects to those listed above.

I've been prescribed Lyrica by my doctor. I pinched a nerve in my back 5 months ago and am still in pain. I have told her repeatedly that I am not feeling like myself while I'm taking Lyrica, my moods change drastically (I am normally a very bubbly person) i feel drunk, slur my words, forget things, forget whole conversations, and it's frustrating!!! I lost 15kg in a three week period, then gained it all back in a week and a half. My doctor does not want to listen to me when I tell her that this medication is not helping, in fact, it's making things worse. Some days I'm happy, next day I'll be curled up in bed crying. This has been going on for 5 months..... I've been to other doctors, but they just say keep taking it, it's just a small side effect. Readi...

I have nerve damage, shingles, fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, the list goes on and on! I can't have Lyrica, Cymbalta, or Gabapentin. They are not approved , and they continue to reject the approval no matter how many request are submitted. What can I do? ## I am sorry, who is that is not approving them for you? Your insurance company?? You are not very specific in your post, so it is a little confusion. If they are claiming that these drugs are not approved to treat these types of conditions, then that is incorrect because both Cymbalta and Lyrica are approved by the FDA to treat post-herpetic neuralgia. If you can give me an idea of the type of insurance you have, I can try to research their formulary to see what they will cover for you, so you can discuss other opti...
