I'm not sure if morning or evening is the best time to take Losartan. When should I take the medication? ## Generally, unless the instructions state otherwise, it should be taken in the morning, that way it will be working during the time of day that you are usually most active. I also am taking losartan 100 mg, and for about a month having side effects. Walgreen's always gave me the round pill, but now it's the long oval with13 on it. Why the change? What can I do about it. I have been taking losartan 50 mg a day, but divided in the morning and night. As my dr noticed side effects, I was later prescribed 25 mg. It has been 10 days but I have serious cramps in my legs when I'm jogging or walking. I'll consult with my dr... My bp is 120/80. I would like to know about any reports of psychosis precipitated by Losartan. ## Why is this medication typically prescribed? ## Losartan is used mainly in the treatment of Hypertension.
