Used to taking Watson Lorazepam Actavis Lorazepam not effective! ## Hi sylvia, When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences you are noticing have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand. I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don't mention this to their patients, after giving them a completely different script without prior notice. Have you tried discussing this issue with your doctor yet? Hopefully he can specify a manufacturer for you in the script.

What is the difference between lorazepam 2mg tab qua and lorazepam 2mg tab act? ## Hello, Annette! How are you? Those are abbreviations for the manufacturers, Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and Actavis, respectively. Since this is a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies to help create market competition and try to keep prices down. The FDA warns that this medication may carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

I think most people who take lorazepam are familiar with side effects like any other script, however we also know what works and what doesn't. And I for one am tired of hearing the same explanation that you build up a tolerance. I only have encountered that problem when different mfg merge or deviated from what the formula calls for. ## Agreed. What is the difference from a Lorazepam with a rx 7 on it from one with a M 321 on it? ## From what I can tell the only difference between these two pills is that they are manufactured by different companies. Additionally the inactive ingredients can slightly differ from one another. Other than that, these are both the same drug and same dosage. Hi, I've been taking lorazepam 0.5 mg once a day for 16yrs. Now my doctor wants me to wean off it, but I'm having a hard time. ## What tapering/weaning method have you been using? Generally, the modern preferred method is to gradually reduce the dose, while spacing doses further and further apart. Stopping too abruptly may create the risk of seizures, according to FDA reports. I have been taking lorazepam 2mg at night for sleep for 5 years. They recently gave me AZI pm - 2 mg lorazepam. It's a round pill in blister package sunny yellow color. Has anyone tried those before? I just wanted to know if alprazolam is generic for xanax,is lorazepam generic for xanax too,since it seems they are both perscribed for the sam e thing ## Although both medications are of the Benzodiazepine drug class, Alprazolam is the one and only generic for Xanax. Lorazepam may also be used for the same purpose, but that does not necessarily mean they are the same drug. I have been having anxiety attacks for over a year. Mydoctor has prescribed both Buspar and Lorazepam. The Lorazepam seems to work better than the buspar. Has anybody taken this medicine which is a generic for Ativan manufactured in India? ## The drug brand named Lori (2 mg) is said to be manufactured by Cyril Pharmaceuticals. Just to clear up any confusion, it's not a generic for Ativan; just another brand name. Ativan is also a brand name. Lorazepam is the generic name. I personally haven't tried this brand, but others here on the site have mentioned that it is very weak in comparison to the US counterpart. There's nothing inherently wrong with purchasing meds from India, but from the reviews I've read, many people are complaining about the potency and overall efficacy not being up to par with US drugs. Hi, I have taken Lorazepam since 1990's off and on again, I hate to say these Cyril 2mg Lorazepam are not worth a spec of a 1mg. I was very sad they were so bad. I am not sure they are real. I've been taking the form of lorazepam identified by a "v" on one side and "4008" on the other for years. Recently I switched pharmacies and they gave me a NOTICEABLY different version, manufactured by "Watson labs" ("Watson" on one side and "1/241" on the other). I might as well be taking placebos even though it's the same dosage. My doctor told me that manufacturers can vary in the make-up of the pill by almost 2% and still legally call it the same dosage/drug, so what I'm feeling (nothing) may really be due to the difference in manufacturer.
