Sometimes my 7yrs daughter suffer with stomach upsets I used to give her lactovita is this safe ## Hello, July! How are you? Lactovita is just an intestinal flora supplement, so there shouldn't be any harm in it, as long as her doctor approves. It helps make sure the natural flora in the stomach and intestines stays balanced. The FDA warns that such supplements can sometimes cause diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, my 2 years 6 months old child recently had severe diarrhea n had lost lots of weight due to it, so I ended up taking him to a pediatrician whom he gave him a lactovita tablet to be taken twice a day. So I'm concerned about what it's used for but so far it really helped since the diarrhea stopped. ## Hello, Cynthia! How is your son doing? This is actually a supplement, it is a bacteria that is naturally found in the body. Some conditions or some medications can cause the natural bacteria in the body to die off and cause diarrhea and other issues. By replacing it, the situation can often be resolved. The only side effect listed by the FDA is occasional nausea. Was your son ill recently or on any medications?
