Can anyone tell me how many mgs are in the KlorCon M10 ER tablet? I am trying to compare it to the 1500 mg in a Pot Chlor ER tablet 20meq. ## The Klor-Con M10 ER is listed as being equivalent to 750mgs, or 10meqs, so it's half the dosage of the one you are comparing it to. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is there another potassium medication like "Klor con m10 er meq" that doesn't have polyethylene glycol in it?

The over the counter Potassium supplements are just fractions of this, so you'd have to spend just as much many to take a lot of them. How low is your potassium level? You may be able to up it by combining over the counter supplements with high potassium foods, such as bananas. Have you consulted your doctor for ideas? ## Thanks....I was just wondering. Went to doc fri....she uped my lisinopril from 10 to 20 mg and asked me if I took at night.....I always take at 425 every morn before work. Now she wants me to take it before bed. She said people usually take it before bed. why?

KDur or Klor Con has been around for many many years but still is very expensive. It is more costly than some newer meds that do not have generics. How is this possible? It is only ordered when someone's potassium is dangerously low, otherwise, it's not safe for someone to take it. Con you tell me how many bananas I have to eat to get the same amount of potassium as one klor-con m20 tab? ## Hello, Frank! How are you? From what I can find, they estimate approximately 1 mEq per inch of banana, so you'd need to eat 20 inches of banana for each tablet you are supposed to take. It would likely be easier to just take the tablets, rather than eating bananas all day, every day. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for the information. I was curious. I have been taken 9 potassium tablets a day to for approx 6 years. Potassium level has been good. Will there be any side effects if I cut back to one a day, after one office visit and blood test? There really shouldn't be any issues, according to the FDA, but if they are the only thing keeping your potassium up, it may drop again, suddenly, due to a rebound effect. Ideally, it should be water or juice, the acids in sodas can sometimes neutralize some medications, so it's best not to mix them with sodas. IT'S BLUE IT SAY'S KLOR-CON 8 MEQ ## my body is not absorbing them. What else for replentishing potassium? If you aren't properly absorbing the potassium from these pills there are other solutions you can try, as long as it's okay with your doctor. You can ingest more of certain foods that may help, since our bodies always do better with a natural source of nutrients than they do with artificial ones. I have been taking KLOR-CON M 20 meg twice a day. One month ago I was told to increase to 2 20 meg twice a day (80 meg). I have been having what I believe is a great increase in the arthritis in my legs and feet. Could this be from the potassium? ## Hello, Mary! How are you?
