I use the pill cypro it help me gain weight. I used it for my hay fever ad well I put on 7lbs slowly. But I have gained about 15lbs so far.it's. Not so bad. ## Hello, Margaret! How are you? Cyproheptadine is classified as an antihistamine and it is most commonly used to treat allergic reactions. The weight gain can be a side effect of it, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. However, like most side effects, they tend to be transient, so you may not always gain weight, while taking it, plus once you stop, you will most likely lose the weight. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have suffered from hay fever since I was a kid. I am now 70. I have been taking hydrocodone for years, never more than 3 in a day and usually one or two for pain from arthritis. Besides relieving pain I have found that hydrocodone is absolutely the best medicine for my hay fever. After taking a hydrocodone all hay fever symptoms are gone within 30 minutes. My new doctor will not prescribe hydrocodone instead preferring to give me tramadol which relieves MINOR pain and helps with the hay fever, but is not nearly as effective as hydrocodone. I have to take two at a time for any relief. I can't wait until January when I can switch back to my original doctor. I'm certainly not hooked on hydrocodone. I don't get a buzz from it, I only get relief from my hay fever and arthritis ...

I have a white oblong pill with no score, and has an L434 imprint on one side and nothing on the other side. Could this be a Lortab? ## Based on the pill description, I've located an "oblong" (capsule-shaped) white tablet marked L484, as well as a "round" white pill marked L434. Unfortunately, neither one of these are Lortab (Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen). The L484 tablet contains Acetaminophen 500 mg without any Hydrocodone (NDC 30142-0484). Acetaminophen is a mild pain reliever and fever reducer.
