is olfen 50 mg. safe to use daily as a muscle relaxer. ## From the dosing and the question, I believe the Olfen being asked about in this case was the one that just contains Diclofenac, which is actually a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, not a muscle relaxant. It can help with pain, fever and swelling, though. However, you shouldn't use it daily for a long period of time, without your doctors approval, because there are some risks that may be associated with doing so, such as stomach ulceration, elevated blood pressure and fluid retention. You can learn more Diclofenac details here. Are there any questions or comments?

I had a cardiac Cath and the summary says LM minimal luminary irregularities LED minimal luminal irregularities lcx minimal luminar irregularities RCA minimum irregularities and LV mild Global hypokinesis EF 50% elevated lvedp what does this mean ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? Did your doctor not explain anything? To keep it simple, luminal irregularities refers to changes due to atherosclerotic plaque, the word minimal refers to how much there is, in this case, they didn't see a significant amount, but there is some, so lifestyle and dietary changes may be needed to prevent future worsening. Is this to much, and is that amount harmful. Another doctor of mine thinks it is to much. What is your opinion? Thanks you ## I was prescribed VITD2 50,000 units once a week for 4 weeks. I am concerned however and have not started taking them. Is there anything dietary/nutritionally I can do instead of these pills? ## Vitamin D is an important nutrient that is necessary for bone health, as well as overall health. I think that I missed my dose today at 1:30, but I'm not sure? Will I be ok to wait until tomorrow to take it? Also should I wait the entire 24 hours or just take it in the morning? ## Hello, Chad! How are you? What did you end up doing? It is always best to check with your doctor regarding what you should do in such a situation, however, in some instances, it is safer to take an extra dose, rather than risk skipping one. Since missing a dose could cause dangerous rebound elevations to your heart rate and blood pressure, which could lead to heat attack, or stroke, according to the AMA. However, doubling up just once, usually only results in your experiencing more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination, as listed by the FDA. Now, of course, there a...

I used to have sometimes high BP with tension but I never exceeded 100 (as lower level) and few days later it goes back to 140/85. I had aorta surgery approx two months ago.I was taking 50mg Metoprlol 1xday. My blood pressure readings were really low 89/60. I would feel light-headed when standing. My doctor cut the dose to 25mg 1xday. Still light-headed. Now I am doing 12.501xday. light-headed gone. Now my heart rate is up??? ## Hello, Francesca! How are you? It can be normal to experience a rebound elevated heart rate, when your dosage is lowered, or you stop taking a medication in this class, according to FDA warnings. You may also experience elevated blood pressure. Why hasn't your doctor tried a different medication? There are many others you can try to see if they don't cause you such awful side effects. Many doctors love to prescribe Metoprolol as the first choice, but it doesn't work well for eve...

i'm 42 yrs old female nd hav been taking metzok 50 for the past 3 yrs ..my bp is now normal nd so can i stop the medicine......does taking metzok 50 cause joint pain ## I am 62, female diabetic taking Metzok 50 since last three years along with losar 50. My BP is almost normal. Can I stop losar 50 and continue only Metzok 50? ## Both of you should consult your respective doctors. The issue here is that the medication may be only maintaining your blood pressure at a normal level and, without treatment, it may start to elevate again, which may be dangerous. In addition, an abrupt cessation of this medication could cause rebound effects, which may result in severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate, which could cause heart attack or stroke. What have your doctors advised?

What Is The Side Effects Of This Medication & Can I Take In Place Of Casodex ## Hello Dave Hughes, Some side effects of Casodex may include but are not limited to the following: reproductive system and breast disorders, breast tenderness, gynaecomastia, hot flushes, gastrointestinal disorders, diarrhoea, nausea, hepatic changes (elevated levels of transaminases, jaundice), asthenia and pruritus. To answer your next question; if you're talking about Bicalutamide, the active ingredient in Casodex, then yes you could take it instead if you want. However, it would most likely be the generic version. I can't remember if I told you this in my last reply, but the FDA permits generic formulas to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredients. This factor, along with...

Seeking remedial advice regarding Nebicard 5mg for high bp at 220/128 along with Ecosprin 500mg taken once daily at night. ## Ecosprin will not help lower your blood pressure, it is just used as blood thinner and for heart health, according to NIH reports. Nebicard is the one that is used to help lower blood pressure and if your numbers are still that high, you may need to try a different medication, or a higher dosage. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Are these the only medications you are currently taking? ## Kumar With a blood pressure reading that elevated prompt medical attention should be your primary concern. I want to know if I can give my 11-year-old daughter who is 76-78 lbs. a Hydrocodone APAP 5mg 500 mg because she broke her thumb (doctor put a splint on) and it is throbbing. Doc just told us give her Ibuprofen but that's not helping so much tonight. Thank you ## Have you tried asking her doctor? The Hydrocodone is a narcotic, so I wouldn't suggest giving it to any child, unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. ## I would not suggest giving your daughter hydrocodone 5/500 the Tylenol dose for her weight is to much . I would agree with your doctor according to her weight she should take 3.5 tsp of children's Motrin. The reason for having pain at nighties she is most likely not elevating her hand on a pillow. If her hand is below her heart this will cause pai...

have taken 2 pills...is this amount so insignificient that I can simply stop taking further pills? ## What has your doctor advised? Are you on other medications? That isn't many pills and, in theory, there shouldn't be a problem stopping, after just taking a few, but there is really no way of knowing the effect it will have on any particular person, so you should only do so under medical supervision. I took Metoprolol for over a month and was able to stop, but it was because I was switched to a different, but similar medication to keep the rebound effects under control, though there were still some slight elevations to my heart rate and blood pressure. ## Doctor, I had little blurred vision n doctor admitted 5 days with steroids n prescribed m 30 mg wysoline(20mg-10mg-0), after ...

If, at a later time, your blood sugar level has come down and is doing better, your dosage can be lowered, or if this dosage doesn't work, it can be raised even higher or other medications added. Learn more Metformin details here. Usually, someone is prescribed a higher dosage, at first, to bring their blood sugar down safely, but as fast as possible, because the longer it's elevated, the higher the risk of organ damage, ner...

Is this something to worry about? What is the risk of stopping and how long does it take to get it out of your system? ## Hello, Lindyann! How are you? Yes, you shouldn't have stopped it abruptly, because that can cause a rebound effect, such as what you're experiencing with the edema. You may also have dangerously elevated blood pressure. Please consult your doctor as soon as possible to have things checked out for your own safety. You may require medical treatment and will need to try a different blood pressure medication. How are you? I'm sorry about the headaches. Yes, it is possible. The FDA classifies Methylprednisolone as a steroid class medication, so it can cause that, as well as nausea, dizziness, insomnia and elevated blood pressure.
