Now i had a shunt revision and for 4 days i felt brilliantly, and then a women attacked me while i was sleeping, she grabbed me on my head and was screaming that i was her husband, and two days after that my headaches were back again. Know all of a sudden the doctor is saying it is because of the Venlor that i am not taking. I still am using Urbanol and dopaquel. Hi, I'm Jeremy from South Africa, I was diagnosed with Clinical Depressive Disorder, and my doctor put me on Nuzak 20mg for the past month. I think 2 weeks into the month, seeing that my sleeping patterns, paranoia and anxiety levels weren't norming he put me on Dopaquel 25mg (to increase dosage every 7 days till 200mg, I'm currently on 100mg ). I've been on both now for quite some time now but my only concern is I've gotten to a level where I think I've built a tollerence for both these drugs and no longer feel the effects them (cause my sleeping patterns have decreased once more). I'm too concerned about this, what advice can I kindly get? ## What time period do you consider as being on them for quite some time? It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks for both ...

Been on Nuzak and Dopaquel (25mg) for a month now. The medication is helping me tremendously. However, I'm losing a lot of weight. An unhealthy amount. I haven't lost my appetite, I eat a lot and I'm far from active. Is this healthy? Normal? Will the weight-loss stop without having to stop the meds? Yes, it's better than having weight gain but it's an unhealthy weight-loss which can't be good either.

Since being on Dopaquel and Serdep I have gained 20kg. I have been off the meds for a month now. Has anyone gone off the Dopaquel and lost weight? If so, how long did it take? ## The active ingredient Quetiapine is most commonly used to treat various mental health disorders. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. However, Serdep, which contains the active ingredient Sertraline, so it may also cause weight gain. Generally stopping them, or switching medication does result in weight loss, but it really depends upon you and your metabolism. Are these the only medications you are currently taking?

I started taking these medications last year because i had a problem with my sleep. Now I'm gaining weight. I just want to know if this is one of the side effects? ## Both of these medications are known to cause weight gain, according to U.S. FDA side effects reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Has your doctor instructed you to take both of these medications? Do you eat a healthy diet and get lots of exercise?

Please help ## Hello, Beauty! How are you? Suddenly stopping such medications can cause withdrawal effects, which may include severe headaches, as listed by the U.S. FDA. Your headaches may also be worsened by the hormones you body produces during pregnancy. You should only take them, if your doctor has advised you to do so, because they have evaluated whether or not the possible benefits outweigh any potential risks. Other side effects may include dizziness, diarrhea and weight changes. Is ther...

I'm diagnosed as having Bipolar 2. I take Lamictin 25 - 1x tablet twice a day, Trepiline - 2x tablet @night, Dopaquel - 1x @night, Escitalopram - 1.5 in the morning, Urbanol - 2x tablets a day. I'm trying to loose about 5kg. I'm watching my eating habits & I use my Orbitrack 3x a day for 30 minutes. I have not lost 1kg in 2weeks. Does that make sense? I have been told that the problem could be the Lamictin. I'm not sure if it could be that or a combination of the tablets. Please let me know what you think? ## Hi Betty, Sorry to hear about your challenges with weight while taking this medication. From what I could gather, weight gain isn't something that's generally associated with Lamictin (lamotrigine). The Lamotrigine Details drug article actually shows ...

Medical aid wants me to change chronic meds. I'm bipolar and are on Lamitor 300mg, Dopaquel 200mg and Venlor 225mg. They want me to use in their words a "cheaper" medicine like seroquel instead of Venlor despite motivational letters from my psyhiatrist. He is after all the treating specialist that walked a long way with me in getting the right combination that works. I have been on many different ones until I settled with these meds. They refuse to pay for the venlor even though i use the generic efegen. I'm already on Dopaquel which is the same as the Seroquel, in other words it would be a duplication. I don't think this is fair it is after all a PMB condition. Will it have the same effect if I change the meds. I don't want to but would like to know if somebody h...

0,25 mg Alzam with 2 glasses of wine on tonight's BA flight to London to be able to sleep a couple of hours. Good or Bad? ## Bad! I'm glad nothing happened to you, but you did put yourself at risk. Both the Alprazolam in the Alzam and the alcohol can cause depression of the central nervous system, which may cause lowered rate of breathing, pulse and blood pressure and that could lead to heart or respiratory arrest. Are there any other questions or comments? ## My friend is on the same drug and she wants to find out if she can have a child while taking it? ## I'm on Cotareg for HBP, Nuzak, Dopaquel and Adco alzam for anxiety and depression. Only on weekends I drink beer or ciders. Could that worsen my condition? I have to de-stress.
