what is the shelf life of cyclobenzapine 5 mg? ## Hi cindirs, According to Rising Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of Cyclobenzaprine, the expected shelf-life of the drug is 24 months (2 years). Reference: However, there's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication/shelf-life of a drug. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after...

I'm taking Trazodone 10mg and was now prescribed cyclobenzaprine 5mg. Can these meds be taken simultaneously? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Were they both prescribed by the same doctor, so they are aware you are taking both? They both tend to increase sedation and both can also increase serotonin levels, which could be dangerous if they go too high, so they should only be taken together, if your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, cry mouth and drowsiness.

I can take the benzapr 5mg. without any problems but am afraid of taking the benzaprine 10 mg. I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine 5mg 3 times daily as needed for discomfort and diclofenac pot. 50mg once daily. My complaint was neck and shoulder pain. I was given an xray and was told it could be degenerative joint disease. I take Valsartan/hctz half of a 25mg pill. I took all 3 the other morning and what I would describe as butterfly feeling in my chest like 40 minutes after taking it. Should I stop taking it and call my dr.? It was the 1st time I had taken all 3. ## Hello, Mick! How are you? The Diclofenac can affect your blood pressure medication, so it may not work as well for you. That may be what caused this symptom. I took a 5mg Flexeril (just one pill, for just one day) and the next morning had 4 positive pregnancy tests. Went to the doctor the next day and it was negative? Is this possible? ## Wow! Why did you do 4 of them? Some medications can cause false positives, but there are other things that can cause them, as well, such as hormonal treatments, user error, defective tests, and antihistamines that are taken for allergies. Did the doctor do an actual blood test?
