I found a pill that is round, brown/cream color & no imprint. Any ideas? ## With no imprint I can say that it is definitely NOT codeine manufactured in the US. Basically all drugs manufactured here are required to carry unique markings so that they can be easily identified. With that said, it could very well be an over the counter supplement, or perhaps even something from overseas. All in all I'd say to dispose of it. Safety first! Or if you want to spend a hefty amount of $$ you can pay a lab to analyze it, but I doubt that'd be worth your time. Hope this helps! inprint on it are 54 783 ## Yes, this is generic acetaminophen with codeine #3. It has 325mg acetaminophen and 30mg. codeine. It is generic for tylenol with codeine #3. It is a scheduled 3 narcotic drug that can be highly addictive. Side effects include constipation, stomach upset, dizzines, drowsiness. ## I was partially incorrect about this identification. 879 on one side, g102c on other. off white and extremely old ## I can't find a listing for this, but that is most likely due to the fact that it is so old, if it's no longer manufactured, then it wouldn't be included in the current databases that list pill imprints and identifications. Where was it found? ## it was found in a medicine cabinet of a place i moved into. i have found similar pills with similar imprints but nothing that matches 100%. my guess was that it is so old. its an off colored white.

The tablet with the M2A 57344 marking is manufactured by Physican Partner and they list it as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a dosage that is available over the counter and does not contain Codeine, it is a generic or store brand of Extra Strength Tylenol. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have chronic spine and hip pain from scoliosis and fibromyalgia. I took Vicodin for several years back when it did not have a generic and it did a good job for pain relief. The generic, Hydrocodone, supposedly has the same exact ingredient of codeine in the 5-300 cap, but does not give me pain relief. Do you think if I switched to Tylenol #3, which does NOT have a generic, that it's level of codeine would work better for pain relief? What is the equivalent of norco 10 mg to Tylenol W codeine, is it a #3 or #4 ? ## Hi brian, I'd recommend double checking this with your doctor first just to make sure it's accurate, but according various opiate conversion charts I viewed online, 10mgs of Hydrocodone has an estimated equivalency to about 60mgs of Codeine. And in that respect Norco 10/325 should be similar to Tylenol #4; which has 60mgs of Codeine + 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Does anyone else find this to be true based on personal experience?

Can anyone identify this pill. It small round pill that is pink or peach colored with darker peach specs in the pill. One side is scored once. The other side has an imprint of a long slender d, a short c, and another long slender h. dch There is a imprint of a beaker/flask above the c and it's all surrounded by a circle. Hi - I was taking Codeine for a number of years for severe pain, i was told i was suffering with osteoarthritis and eight Cocodamol a day did not touch the pain, whilst i was taking Codeine i was angry and little did i know my BP was very high, it was only when my BP was taken that i found out my BP was touching 200/ to cut a long story short after seeing a Neurologist and having tests it was discovered that my pain was being caused by Hereditary Motor Sensory Peripheral Neuropathy, i was taken of Codeine and put on Lyrica and Tramadol, my pain is now controlled i am no longer angry and my BP has been normal ever-since. So the story is this if you are taking any medication containing Codeine and are suffering with HIGH BP it may well be Codeine, so mention this to your doc. Warm Regards...

If you are allergic to codeine would you be allergic to tramdol? ## Hi Vanessa, According to addictionblog.org, Tramadol does not contain codeine. "Tramadol is a synthetic drug. This means that Tramadol is created in laboratories and is the result of chemical reactions. It is NOT a natural product, like codeine, and is called an opioid due to its chemical make up." Is a tec 30 stronger than a percocet 5? Is taking a tec 30 the same as taking a percocet 30? ## If I am not mistaken TEC 30 contains 30 mg of Codeine, whereas a Percocet 5 contains 5 mg of Oxycodone. As far as comparisons go I had a look at the Equianalgesic table and it's showing that Codeine is 1/10th the relative strength of Morphine, where as Oxycodone is 1.5 times stronger than Morphine. So to break that down ... 30 mg of Codeine ≅ 3 mg of Morphine ... 5 mg of Oxycodone ≅ 7.5 mg of Morphine. In other words, a Percocet 5 is over twice as strong as 30 mg of Codeine.
