YOU TAKE IT FOR ONLY 5 DAYS. YOU START WITH TWO AND THEN TAKE THE REST ## ok ## nothing ## Were you possibly referring to a Z-Pak? It's an antibiotic that is available in a 5 day dosing pack, which contains the active ingredient Azithromycin. Since it is an antibiotic, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, I am not aware of anything at this time that's called a V-Pack, nor have I found any record of there ever being one. There are more Z-Pak details available here for anyone needing more information.

Hi I have white spots in my tonsils and my throat feels cut up. I know it's tonsillitis that I have and therefore was going to ring doctors to get a prescription but my mum have me a full packet of Amoxicillin. I can't see an expiry date on packet but it does say on pharmacy sticker "ChkBy 27/06/16". Do you know what this stands for please? And should they still be ok to take?? ## "Check by" that date (Chkby) 06/27/2016. Take to pharmacy. Never good to use old antibiotics and self diagnose. A quick swab of the throat gives an answer and allows you to get the right med by a doctor. Could be a virus. ## All that means if it's an old bottle of Amoxicilin that if it wasn't taken by the chk by/expiring date back this past June obviously then u cld still take i...

I have been having gum problems for two years, pain, exposed roots, etc. my dentist would treat me by amoxicillin and antibiotic packs implants along with deep cleaning saying "let's see if this works" I keep asking for a referral to a periodontist but she kept saying we are trying to prevent that but all she is doing is maxing out my yearly coverage (I have great dental plan). Hi there, I was prescribed a z-pac for a dental infection while the dentist was out of the office. When I went to see him three days later, he gave me an additional prescription for Augmentin to start after the z-pac was finished. The z-pac seemed effective and I was pain free by the time I started the Augmentin which I took for ten days. Five days after completing the Augmentin, the pain returned with a vengeance. I have five more days until I see the dentist for a root canal. In the meantime, which antibiotic would be best to take? Would it be wise to go back to the Augmentin or the z-pac again? There's no way to tell whether this is a new infection or the original infection, although since the root is completely dead, the infection likely never went away. Thanks so much for your ...

Got a red and white capsule from Mexico that was to cure bladder infections. What are they?? ## Hi Judy, Did you happen to receive any product packaging along with your prescription that suggests it's an antibiotic or are you just assuming it is? Reason I ask is because without any markings or imprints it could literally be anyone's best guess from pharmaceuticals to dietary supplements, illicit drugs and so forth... The description is so broad that one could simply buy a red and white capsule, fill it with virtually any substance and call it whatever they want... If I were you I'd consider the idea of having its contents analyzed by a lab, just to be on the safe side. Did a doctor prescribe this for you to pick up at a licensed pharmacy or do they handle things differently ...
