Hy,i am 13 weeks preg,and i had an abdomen pain so I went to the clinic the nurse gave me Bio-metronidazole 400mg,she advised me to take all 5 tablets at once. And now i cant stop throwing up,i cant keep anything down. Please help. ## U shouldn't allowed to take that drug if ur pregnant ## I was given this drug at 18weeks pregnant. 250mg 3x a day. I couldn't remember to take them n so it was stretched out n I didn't take last 4 doses. Lil concerning it's effect on baby???? The interaction states that you should not drink alcohol while you are taking this medication and for at least 3 days after you stop taking it. If you do, you may end up having unpleasant side effects such as fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under your skin, tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting. I haven't come across any specific details on how the other two medications respond to alcohol, but I would strongly recommend asking your doctor about it first, for your own safety. Do you know if they confirmed that it was in-fact an infection and not some other sort of allergic reaction to lube, latex, or something else? Have been experiencing abdominal pains which are usually happening when im expecting my periods, i went to the clinic and a UA was done. I was told that my urine has some infection, i was given IV, doxytet and bio-metronidazole to take twice a day for 14days. Hi I'm 21 year old mum and from cambridge. I started the anti-biotics metronidazole 400g and doxycycline 100g 6days ago because my doctor thinks I've got some sort of infection after an examination. Each tablet I've got to take one twice a day, with or after food and I've got to take them for two weeks. Is it safe to take doxytet while breast feeding ## Doxttetracycline is an antibiotic and it can really depend on how long you are taking it. If you will be on it for a long term, then you may want to avoid breast feeding while taking it, because this class of antibiotics has been known to cause staining of the tooth buds of developing infants and children and this staining is permanent. If you are only on it for a short time, such as 10 days or so, then there shouldn't be any issues, because there hasn't been enough of it detected in the breast milk in such cases to cause harm.
