What Is Better Suboxone Or Subutex

Is subutex better than suboxone for patients with hepatitas c ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? The final decision would be up to you and your doctor, of course, however most often Subutex is preferred, since it contains Buprenorphine by itself and doesn't include the Naloxone that's in Suboxone. Generally, it's considered the less medications being processed through your liver to tax it, the better. The FDA classifies this medication as being an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I really wanna stop using opiates but i find that unless i am under the influence of them i have no ambition to work. I am done getting high and wanna clean my life up.I been taking subutex and find that its making me depressed. It helps me get threw the day and gives me motivation to work.I take suboxin but it makes me sick to my stomach and sometimes i vomit. Is there a way to help with these symptoms ## THe symptoms you are describing are normal side effects of the Buprenorphine that is in both Suboxone and Subutex, because it is still a narcotic opiate. However, the reason that Suboxone may be making you more nauseated is because it also contains Naloxone, which is used to help prevent the abuse of other narcotics, while someone is under treatment with this and it can throw you into...

Learn more Suboxone details here. That is the only difference between them. Since it is a narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Have you talked to your doctor about the problem?

I have been on suboxone since 2008. 3 weeks ago I was switched to Zubsolve bc my ins stopped paying for the subs. Anyway the Zubs are awful. I've been sick for 3 weeks and am having to take 3x the dose I'm suppose to be taking. I'm going to the doc today to get back on the suboxone, yet I still have the ins problem. Has anyone been on both Suboxone and Subutex to compare the 2. Subutex would be a lot cheaper if it actually works. I don't want to buy another script that doesn't work. Zubsolv was suppose to be the same as suboxone, even better. It is a nightmare for me. It does not work at all like the suboxone. Anyone??? Thanks ## Was on buprenorphine for 3 years and My ins did the same thing.. I was on zubsolv for week and had the worst headache, felt awful.. Decided...

hi i'm a 29 yr old male with chron's disease and a very high tolerance to pain relief and i was just wondering if subutex/suboxone was better than the methadone for pain management i have been on 20mg of oxys twice a day for about 6 months and they only work when i double dose or boot em up and now the doctors are talkin about putting me on the beup or methadone program and i'm not sure which one has more merit if ya know what i mean lol ## The Buprenorphine in the Suboxone is stronger and doesn't have the same addictive tendencies that the Methadone does. People who no longer need it for pain, or addiction treatment, often have better luck tapering off and becoming medication free, as compared to Methadone, where they often require a lifetime maintenance dose. The withd...

I take the max dose of suboxone 8-3 3times a day with out much pain or anxiety relief. Is subutex better and is it ok for me to ask my doc to switch ## Hello again, Lorcos! The difference is that Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, while Subutex only contains the Buprenorphine. And under current DEA directives, unless someone has a serious allergy to the Naloxone, they must be prescribed Suboxone and Subutex is to be reserved for pregnant women. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you so much for your reply, It was truly very hel...

Ok. Can anyone help me find a website or websites that allow Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT) for Subutex and Suboxone patients? The doctors always want us to go to meetings but when you actually try to go to meetings NA doesn't condone MAT's to be a part of their program. So there needs to be online meetings for people that require medication and are in recovery. N.A. actually discriminates against us that are using medication (subutex, suboxone, methadone) to treat our addictions and it's just sad. We are people too and we are trying to better our lives. If I knew how to start one with online chat rooms, online meetings, etc I would. We need somewhere where we can tell our story and get the help we need and deserve. If there is such websites then I haven't been abl...

Yes, they are Subutex 153 half moon and the are shaped like a surf board. They work way better then Suboxone strips. People keep saying they cut the strips into millions of pieces, if that is the case you don't need them in the first place. This new one orange Subutex 153 half moon surf board shape ones last way longer, and work great (oh my god they work so great!) I recommend them to anyone using the white ones or the strips, they both suck compared to the new ones. Take it of leave it but it's the truth. If you take just a half it will last you two days...unreal. ## For these subutex do they taste disgusting like the strips. As of May 1st our physician decided not to do subutex anymore. Luckily I just had my baby I am worried about breastfeeding. An hate the taste of Suboxone...

i have been diagnosed with having a tumor that needs to be removed i am worried about if something were to happen suddenly that i would be unable to have surgery do to the blockades of nioxin that suboxon has and not subutex is this correct ## Suboxone has Buprenorphine & Naloxone in it. The Naloxone will partially or completely reverse any narcotic effects. Subutex only has Buprenorphine. I have chronic pain & have been on Subutex for years (34 mg per day) & have had a couple of operations in this time. I believe you would be much better off on Subutex. It would be worth talking to your Doctor about your concerns. Goodluck! ## There is not enough in this to interfere with large doses or narcotics or anesthetics. ## ineed to find a subutex dr for cronic pain i hav a bad back...

I went to see my doctor this week and he told me that the FDA and the DEA had passed a new law for prescribing Subutex. As of July 1st 2015 Subutex can only be given to pregnant woman or to someone with documentation saying they can't take Suboxone. If you don't have that you will be put on Suboxone. ## They Are Both the same thing. Better yet, stop doing narcotics, get off opiates completely. Do you focus on school and work as much as you do opiates being controlled By the DEA??? ## Jim, not that it's any of your business, but yes I do focus on my career now that I'm off the opiates and taking subutex. I received my B.S. in molecular biology and am currently completely my 2nd year of medical school. So now that you know a little about me, what about you? Since I'm s...

Hi im 82 days off subutex. Has anyone experienced no energy still at almost 3 months clean. Thank you ## Hello, Ameliapond! How are you? If you were a long time addict and then had to use Suboxone treatment, it could take quite awhile for your body to fully recover and get back to normal. But you should consult you doctor about it, to be sure. Have you been eating properly? Taking in enough fluid each day? Getting proper exercise? ## Hi thank you. Ive started taking l-tyrosine and im starting to get bursts of energy now. I tried exercise and could honestly not keep going. Starting to eat properly again. I just hope its a turn for the better now. Thanks again. ## Yes. 3 months and can't get out of bed hardly. That's why I'm on the internet searching wth is up with this zero e...

In fact he is very worried about is reputation as a GP. He told me, sorry Miss I'm protecting myself!! I left his surgery in tears and felt let down by him the only option he offers me was antidepressant. I dont want antidepressants, I want a strong pill to make me sleep when i feel suicidal. ## Seroquel at night will help emensly! 50 mg @ bedtime. I have been taking subutex for about 7months now , before that I took suboxone for 2 yrs . I like the subutex a lot better not near as groggy and less headaches. I have been very careful about not getting pregnant and somehow it happened . I take half of an 8mg tablet 3 times a day but here recently since being pregnant it doesn't seem to be working as well , I realize I have a lot of extra blood flow and am assuming that's probably why. Also everytime I go to put them under my tounge within 2-4 mins the morning sickness kicks in and I throw everything up including the majority of the pill . Well it's 9 days till I get my next refill and I'm out and I don't know what to do. Should I call my Dr to see if I can refill early or what ? I guess I'm just afraid to ask ...

I have this weird red and grey spots on my foot and extreme pain throughout my foot as well from a subutex injection. It was very swollen for the first day or two a different started to get better then then pain just got worse and worse I can barely even walk on it. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please comment with any suggestions at all. ## Hello, Mike! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem you've had. I'd suggest having it checked out by your doctor. It sounds like you may be having a bad reaction to it, or a blockage may have developed and, if that is the case, then it needs medical attention, before the tissue goes necrotic. The FDA classifies this medication as being an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potenti...

I've been on Subutex since April 8th - lowered from 8 yrs on Methadone in a week - last 6 yrs I was on 300 mgs of Methadone a day - went 3 days with nothing then started Subutex. Pill wouldn't dissolve so I swallowed approximately the last 1/4 of the mushed up pill - did the same 45 mins later. When into precipitated withdrawal, blood pressure (when fire dept finally found it after 4 trys) was 60/70, blood ox was 72, went hypothermic, convulsions and vomiting set in - EMT came and said there was no point going to hospital because they couldn't do anything to help - he was a total prick and told me if I made better life choices this wouldn't happen again - fireman snatched him up by his neck and told him to leave and he would take me if I wanted to go - it was a horrible ...
