I have been on losartan 100mg od, lisinopril 20mg od, bystolic 10mg plus triamt/HCTZ tab 37/5/25 od for a few years to bring my blood pressure down which it did to between 130/88-140/90 but now it is back up to 190/90-200/100. I have been on clonidine now for approx 10 months, for high blood pressure. The doctors had tried several other medications but I had so many reactions and issues we decided that the clonidine patch would work best and it has. Yes there is some fatigue and some up and down numbers but in general I have done well. MY BP was all stress related , no non medical reason. So in the past couple of months have been able to alleviate most of the stress (refinance) and I started 500mg magnesium daily and within a month my BP is getting lower and lower and lower. I used to have good blood pressure relief with Atacand HCT 32 strength . The doctors now seem to prefer lisinopril. I thought they were very similar and am thinking of asking to switch back. I am taking lo loestrin since past one year. And I was really happy with it till now. I had a high blood pressure episode that lasted 4-5 days. I was a low bp person usually in range 110/70 . now the bp is lower but stuck at 135/85 range. Even though it is borderline normal. I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine 5mg 3 times daily as needed for discomfort and diclofenac pot. 50mg once daily. My complaint was neck and shoulder pain. Hi, I’ve been on prednisone dose pack 6 day/4mg. I’m on day 5 and have one pill to take tonight and one tomorrow. They say that if blood pressure isn't lowered by taking hyzaar 50/12.5 mgs once a day, then upping the dosage to hyzaar 100/12.5 mgs will not make much of a difference... If it helps some, but doesn't take it down to the ideal level, then a higher dose could help.
