Pantoprazole tablets show color change after about a year from manufacture. Color changes from yellow to light green. Is this normal? ## Yes, some change to the color and efficacy level of the medication is normal, when they start to age, due to exposure to heat and light. The efficacy change is why most pills you receive from your pharmacy have an expiration date of only a year, once they are dispense to you. They tend to degrade over time. The degradation is slowed, if they are left in the original factory sealed bottle, but once it has been opened, then that changes. Are there any other questions?

my pain doctor is talking about putting me on ophen for my pulmonary fibrosis ## Are you certain of the name and spelling? I can't find any medication listed under this name. Hi, What is white oblong or barrel pill with a split in middle; on each side of split is A7C. Nothing on the reverse side. Thanks ## Hello, I believe I have identified your pill as Benylin day tablets (possibly from Ireland). Based on my research, each white (day) tablet contains the following active ingredients: Paracetamol (500 mg) + Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride (60 mg). Pseudoephedrine is a stimulant, but it is well known for shrinking swollen nasal mucous membranes, so it is often used as a decongestant. It reduces tissue hyperemia, edema, and nasal congestion commonly associated with colds or allergies. Other beneficial effects may include increasing the drainage of sinus secretions, and opening of obstructed Eustachian tubes. The same vasoconstriction action can also result in hy...

Is there a opana that is 30 mg and is round and white ## Hello, Nick! How are you? No, the 30mg tablets are listed as being colored. What are the markings on the pill in question? That is what would enable me to identify it for you. The FDA classifies Opana as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

What is stronger, a Dilaudid 8mg or Opana 10mg? I was taking Dilaudid 8mg every 6 hrs for six months and then the pain would come back in three hours. My doctor has switched me to Opana 10mg er and this is the second day... I am in so much pain. How long will it take for Opana to be effective? I'm suffering, help. ## Hello, Dana! How are you doing? I am so sorry that you're in pain. You need 10.67 mgs of the Opana to equal each 8mgs you were taking of the Dilaudid, so the 10mg ER is not an equivalent dose, which likely explains your problem. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you contacted your doctor? You need to let them know that this dose...

What causes schizophrenia and what are some treatment options? ## From the NIH: The cause of schizophrenia are not completely known. Some doctors believe it's the brain not allowing itself to process information acurately. If schizophrenia runs in your family, it is known to be more common to get the disease. Other doctors believe that your environment can also cause the disease to occur. If you feel concerned I would contact your doctor, and let them know what you are experiencing. Has anyone else found that the "New" Opanas are not as effective as the old ones for pain control? I have post herpetic trigeminal neuralgia. I am hoping that the generics will be like the old ones. This is crazy. ## Unfortunately yes, there have been quite a few people complaining about the reformulated ones, even though they are new. The problems seem to range from their causing odd side effects, to their not being as effective, as you've experienced. Learn more about the Opana details here. As far as I am aware, at this time, the generics have not been reformulated, yet. However, this could change at any given time, or the FDA might cause them to be done away with altogether, in similar fashion to Oxycontin. Have you talked to your doctor about the issue? Or maybe asked y...

Opana Oxymorphone Hydrochloride

Oxymorphone (sold under the brand names Numorphan and Opana among others) is a highly potent opioid analgesic indicated for treatment of severe pain. Pain relief after injection begins after about 5–10 minutes, after oral administration it begins after about 30 minutes, and lasts about 3–4 hours for immediate-release tablets and 12 hours for extended-release tablets.[4] The elimination half-life of oxymorphone is much faster intravenously, and as such, the drug is ...

This has not helped me, my ears are the same. Contacted the Dr yesterday said i should take topzole 40mg. Have also noticed i burp a lot. Afraid to try this after reading all about it. Said i should take it for 2 weeks. Please advise me. I am now fed up with this uncomfortable feeling in my ears. Thank you.

IT MAKES ME FEEL SICK NOT ANYTHING LIKE MALLINCKRODT METHADONE. ## Hello, Danette! How are you? There can be variations in the amount of the active ingredient when going from one generic to another, as permitted under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, so this one may have just enough of a fluctuation to cause more side effects. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you informed your doctor? They may know of some way to alleviate the nausea. ## It is not the same. It makes you feel like your wd'ing in half the time of its alternative. is flexeril like tramidol? ## NO! Not even close. Tramadol is an opiate derived anti-inflammatory, they were trying to engineer a medication that would have the pain killing benefits of a narcotic, without the side effects. It didn't work and they ended up with something that is just as addictive as regular opiates. Flexeril, which is Cyclobenzaprine, is a completely different class of medication. It is a muscle relaxant.

I am wondering if this oblong white pill with L014 on it is an opiate? Is it a Lortab heard it was generic brand ## NO THIS IS NOT A PRESCRIPTION DRUG OF ANY KIND Pills with the L marking on them are manufactured by LNK International, they only manufacture over the counter products which are sold by stores as generics or store brands. L 014 is nothing more than a generic Extra Strength Tylenol, Acetaminophen 500mgs. ## It's tylenol, and no, the L does not stand for Lortab

I have chronic acid reflux and my doctor prescribed Equate? I can't take pills and he says I can dissolve in water. ## Equate is not the name of a medication, Equate is a brand name used by Wal-Mart for their over the counter medication products. That said, I really can't tell you anything about what he has prescribed, because there are several options, available. Can you check the prescription details and post back? ## Equate is a stool softener (laxative); that doubles as an antacid. Antacid is a substance which neutralizes stomach acidity, so it makes sense that your doctor would prescribe it to you for chronic acid reflux. Active Ingredients: Sennosides 8.6 mg.
