can ambiene be addictive? can u be pregnant while on ambiene? how long should someone be on ambiene without long term problems? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem and, like any other medication, it can be habit forming, if taken for a long period of time. As to long-term problems, it is actually only meant for the short-term treatment of insomnia, it is not intended to be used for lengthy periods of time. It is usually only prescribed for 2 to 6 weeks. There are some potential risks, if it is used during pregnancy, so it should only be used if your doctor has specifically recommended it and is monitoring your use of it. I've had insomnia for 13 years. Very sleep depraved and extreme fatigue/depression. I sometimes take 5mg of generic ambien BUT I experience HORRID NIGHTMARES! Very realistic and life threatening situations of myself and/or one of my pets! It is a terrible feeling but I do get 6+hours of sleep. Wish there was something without the side effect of nightmares (always occurring in the early morning hours). ## Hello, Cameo! How are you? What else have you tried for your insomnia? After having similar problems with most such medications, including daytime hangover like effects, I actually finally found a solution by taking Benadryl with a Tylenol tablet at night, though there are generic/store brands available, plus combination products that contain both. You'd need to get your doctor...

I have been taking this medication for 6 years. If it just supposed to used short terms why do the doctor keep giving it to you. ## Did you try any others? Is this the only one that worked for you? Doctors don't have to follow the dosing and usage recommendations, they can prescribe according to their ow experience. However, it would be best not to stop it abruptly after taking it for such a long period of time, it would be best to taper it. Are there any other questions or concerns?

ROUND BLUE A- ## Ambien CR is used for the short term treatment of insomnia. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, sleep actions, hallucinations, and next day hangover-like effects. You didn't complete the markings on the pill. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you!

Ambien is not a Benzo, it's a Barbiturate I believe ## To clear this up for everyone that might need to, the FDA actually classifies Ambien/Zolpidem as a sedative/hypnotic. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. Are there any questions or comments? ## Zolpidem is not a benzo, but just as addictive. I was on it for years and cant remember much of that time as it causes the most horrible amnesia. I beg people now to never start using it, EVER. ## it is not a benzo nor it is a barbiturate. the generic is called zolpidam. ## Ambien is not a benzo however if used recreationally not speaking from personal experience but if use for that purpose it's been reported that it does have some b...

Have been taking Ambien and am experiencing vision problems, tired eyes, flashes, and blur. ## Hello, Girlcat! How are you doing? Yes, Ambien has been known to cause such problems as side effects in some people that take it. I suffered similar effects from it. Have you consulted your doctor? You might need to try a different medication. ## I have been getting these similar eye problems since taking ambien. It's not happening when I take it at night, it's the next day or night! It's hard to explain but it seems like when I look up, I get a dizzy feeling and everything gets blurry for a minute! It also seems to make my head hurt right between my eyes when this happens. I noticed this last time I have a script for it. I had actually forgotten about it because its been a while s...

Duane Reade filled ambien and xanax with my insuranse then called two days later to tell me to pick up my ambien script. They filled same rx# twice and went through insurance. How could this happen? I picked it up since why not? Will they discover and could it be a problem? ## Dear Blondie, Sorry to hear about your situation. All pharmacies should maintain a record of the prescriptions they fill, so if you only received twice the amount of 1 Rx and not the other, I would encourage you to go back and inform them of the mistake they made. Also have them contact the insurance company to make sure they're on the same page with what happened. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that things like this could potentially catch up to you in the form of withdrawals if you...

Are the orange generic Ambien pills from India safe? ## I've done fine on them. Name is ZORA, is that what you have? ## LocoEddie your spamming is not permitted. Please refrain. As to whether or not they are safe, there is no way to know for sure since foreign drugs are not regulated like those in the U.S. Ordering them from a foreign country when they are not approved for sale here is illegal and you run the risk of them being seized by customs and having yourself fined. Especially if you do not have a prescription. ## I have just got a script for zora and was worried it would not be the same as my normal pills but they work fine

This pill ambien has about reached the sum of its potency for me, i have now tried the three kinds of zolpidem? The purple is weak, WEAK, it is not the same as the oval or oblong zolpidem even though it says it is on the label, this is the same medication you have been getting, it is not. What would be the next level of pills to take beyond zambien, without going to valium, for sleep terror disorder, staying asleep without dreaming, and lesser amounts of paralytic chemical being mass produced during sleep, such as is compliant with annoyo-scvhizophrenia? ## There are other medications available that are also in the sedative hypnotic category, what else have you tried? I thought this was manufactured by Aurobindo? So why does my bottle say its manufacturer is North Star? Is there something fishy going on that I don't know about? I will return to the pharmacy tomorrow to see if I got some bunk meds. None of this makes sense. ## Hello, Schooter69! How are you? It is manufactured by Aurobindo, but Northstar is a licensed distributor for them. NDC code: 16714-0621 or 65862-0159 If you click on those NDC codes, you'll see that the first is listed under Northstar, and the other is listed under Aurobindo, but they both list the same tablet.
