I have been taking altosec 20mg for 4 days now and its giving me diarrhoea. I see that this is one of the side effects. Should I discontinue taking it. How serious is this particular side effect. Yes I know I should contact my doctor but he is not available right now. Everyone is on holiday. Would appreciate a response. Thank u! ## Hello, Meranz! How are you? It's not considered a serious side effect, unless it's causing you severe problems, such as making you become dehydrated. How bad is the diarrhea? She has been put on Altosec 20 for months now - her bowel movements are now more urgent and frequent. Is this a side effect or an intolerance of the Altosec? Since the food poisoning, she is also taking a daily vitamin - DS-24- vitamins/minerals including iodine 140ug, 20mg calcium, choline 5mg and molybdenum. Is the Altosec 20mg perhaps too strong? Not compatible with some listed minerals? Appreciate your advice. Many thanks. ## Hello, Louise! How is your aunt doing?
