I want to confirm that the pill I have is actually Allegra. It is a small, cylindrical, pink pill with a curly-que on the front and the number 06 on the back. I've been given this for allergies (but it's not like the 180 mg pill). Just want to be sure. Thanks.

My allergies don't act up every day. I would like to know if I can take Allegra year round or do you only take it when your allergies flare up? ## It can be taken either way, unless your doctor has said otherwise. I have periods of time I take it daily, when I'm having a bad allergy flare due to pollen and such, then periods of time I don't, such as in the winter, when I don't need it every day. what is the tan side of an allegra d and what is the white imprinted side? ## I need to know this information too, I excremented out the yellow side this morning. So weird. The white side was gone and the yellow was in perfect condition. ## I haven't been able to find any information that specifies. It is possible that the answer is neither. That may just be how they designed the pill to look, and both active ingredients may be evenly dispersed throughout both sides. I am unable to get any antibiotics and a doctor has suggested using allegra D for my strep throat as he says it will work just as well.. can someone confirm that this is the case or if the strep will just get worse and continue until I take some antibiotics to knock it out???? Thanks ## Ummm...no! Strep throat is caused by an infection and requires an actual antibiotic to resolve, there are no antibiotics in any of the Allegra formulations. The only thing Allegra-D may do for you is to relieve some of the symptoms, though I find that to be unlikely, since it is used to treat allergies.

CAN THE MAIN INGREDIENTS BE SEPARATED ## Hi MIZTAZ, To my understanding, the active ingredients in Allegra D 12hr are not intended to be tampered with or separated. If you just want Fexofenadine on its own, normal Allegra may be what it is you're looking for. Pseudoephedrine is also available on its own, and is marketed under the brand name Sudafed/12 hr. Both options should be available OTC, but you may have to ask your pharmacist to get it for you if it's behind one of those locked glass doors. I hope this helps to answer your question!

My son was taking prilosec and Allegra prescribed by the same dr. He was overdosed. It caused him to seize and they had to run test on him afterwards . his regular dr said they were giving him too much. This was about3 years ago. Now I was prescribed it by my dr. When I take it regularly my feet and ankles hurt like crazy. But the back pain is so much worse. After being off of it for awhile my back and ankles completely stop hurting at all.
