The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, dry throat, and wheezing. How are you all doing? I am wondering if there are any interactions that I should be aware of with using the Albuterol Inhaler along with Adderall XR for Adult ADD. ## Hi Susan, Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Albuterol and Adderall XR. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. On a side note, there are moderately unsafe interactions found between Adderall XR and alcohol: "Alcohol may potentiate the cardiovascular effects of amphetamines." "Concomitant use of amphetamines and alcohol should be avoided if possible, especially in patients with a history of heart disease." I hope this information helps! ## Hi i was just wondering if there are any ...

After using albuterol in a nebulizer for about six applications, my body - especially my hands - were shaking uncontrollably. I refused further doses, beginning 36 hours ago. The shaking is better, but still severe. Question: how long can I expect this drug to remain in my system? ## Hello, Grammy! How are you feeling? That can be a normal side effect of this medication, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects, may possibly include dry mouth, dizziness, headache and insomnia. You weren't on it for very long, so it should only take a few days for things to settle back down. Is there anything else I can help with?

albuterol tablets price went from 8 dollars to 295 dollars!!! what could i take instead, inhalers also cost too much. I have a nebulizer machine but the tablets work better for me. ## Hello, Mzmeanez! How are you? Unfortunately, many pharmacies don't explain how the medication discounts they offer work. Each medication that they can offer for such low prices, such as $4, $8 or $10 are under a contractual agreement with the manufacturer…. an agreement that the manufacturer has the option of ending, once it runs out. Many of them will just renew, but some elect not to and you end up with drastic price changes like this. There have been several other medications that also changed recently and the prices got really ridiculous. Learn more Albuterol details here. However, the only s...

My wife's has COPD And is taking Norpace for heart rythm. Is there a conflict? ## Yes, there is actually. Combining these two medications can increase the risk of prolongation of the QT interval, cardiac arrhythmias and elevated blood potassium. Do lidocaine patches or albuterol inhalers affect a breathalyzer test? ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? There are many things that can cause a false reading on one of these, from cough syrups to mouthwash, as reported by the NIH and FDA. That said, yes, albuterol has been known to do so, due to the fact that it contains a methyl group substance, which is something breathalyzers sense. Methyl groups are the primary chemical bonds found in alcohol. You can google the connection and you'll find many articles and court cases regarding the effect that asthma inhalers can have on them. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had to have two c pack breathing treatments yesterday plus a shot of Prednisone but I did a albuterol breathing earlier that day so why all the stuff at er ## Hi Lucy, Sorry to hear about your experience at the ER. Based on my research, C-pack breathing treatment may be referring to CPAP breathing devices that are commonly used to help treat breathing disorders; typically sleep apnea. If you run a search on google images for "cpap machines" you'll get an idea of what they look like. However, I suppose the only way to find out why they did what they did at the ER is to contact them directly... How have you been feeling lately?

I was given this for congestion in my lungs , partly from nasal congestion and COPD, would like to know about it. ## I would like to know what this is used for and the side effects ## My husband suffers COPD, lung disease. This is the best medication for him, no side effects. Now, we can't find in any pharmacy, they said that they are not manufacturing any more, because DOCTORS are prescribing more of the new medication that is currently on the market. Only Acetylcyst doesn't have side effects, and maintain his lungs very clean. Please help we need more of this medication!! ## Acetylcysteine is used as a supplement and a pharmaceutical d...

I am male 55 years and consuming two tablets of Tedral SA since last 30 years. During this period, I never faced any inconvenience and attack of asthma in any type of weather or circumstances. Now this tablet is not available in market. I need good substitution to this tablet with the same ingredients. ## From what I understand, there is NO substitute for the old Tedral formulation. Tedral contained some phenobarb, which helped, but didn't really work, to neutralize the stimulant side effects of theophylline and ephedrine. Ephedrine isn't available anymore and the combo of those two drugs caused "speedy" feelings. It's more typical that you'd be prescribed a rescue inhaler for acute asthma attacks (ProAir = albuterol is common) than any oral med. Works faster wit...

I take a lot of meds for chronic pain and inhalers for shorness of breath (copd). Something causes leg weakness and hip fatigue. Any guesses? ## Without knowing the specific medications, it is going to be difficult for anyone to help you. These symptoms could be caused by many different medications. Can you please post back with more information? ## Sure: meds include; hyrocodone, morphine, nuerontin, for pain. albuterol, spiriva and pulmicort inhalers for SOBreath. Also; flomax and omeprazole (prilosec). Hard to sort out what might be causing the leg weakness, hip fatigue. ## Thanks for posting back! I took double dose of prednisone 60mg in one day 9 hours apart for sinus infection. Should I be worried? ## I was given a 24 hr prednisone shot yesterday to help with my tight chest and coughing. They prescribed 60 mg for 3 days as I had been taking 40mg 2 days prior. I would like to split the dosage so I don't cough at night. I am also taking albuterol in a nebulizer every 4 hrs as the inhaler was not working as good as the treatments in the doctor's office. Can I split the dosage to 30mg twice daily so I can get relief from coughing while trying to get some sleep?
