Co-codamol tablets are used for the relief of mild to moderate pain when paracetamol or NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, aspirin or naproxen alone do not sufficiently relieve a patient's symptoms, or where their use is ill-advised. In 2019, it was the 173rd most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more...

I'm am trying to figure out how many pills would be equivalent to a bottle that has a quantity of 150 and has 120-12mg/5ml elix? ## Hello, Stellarella! How are you? I'm sorry, but without knowing the dosage of the tablets, I can't tell you. Can you please post back with more details? What you've mentioned, so far, designates the elixir as having 120mgs of Acetaminophen and 12mgs of Codeine per teaspoon. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

how this compare to hydrcodone ## Hello, Janis! How are you? Codeine is actually much weaker, each of these tablets is equivalent to about 5mgs of Hydrocodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am severe pain, not sure if its my gallbladder or my stomach ulcer. I was given norco at one point and i am done. How are you? There is no measurable amount that would affect your blood pressure. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I had some similar concerns, after suffering congestive heart failure several years ago, but all averrable information, as well as my cardiologist, stated that there isn't enough to worry about. anyone else taking generic tylenol 4 made by teva? my pharmacy just switched brands and taking ONE feels like i'm taking FOUR. but that's only every third pill... they dont feel consistent but regardless they feel WAYYYY over the regular strength of codeine. it feels like i'm taking codiene and vicodin at the same timme and i hate it. ## Is there any chance that the times when it seems to hit stronger are also times where you might have eaten less, or not eaten anything yet? If so, that could explain the inconsistency right there. It could even happen if you took one with a big breakfast, since the food would prevent it from hitting your body as fast and then took the next one with or just after a light lunch, since there isn't as much food and it the medication would re...

300-30mg acetaminophen code in vs 5-325mg hydrocodone with acetaminophen no story please just need to know which is stronger, thank you! ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? I'm happy to help you with this question. Compared to the opiates that were derived much later, Codeine is very mild. For example, according to the opioid converter provided by Global, it takes 33.33mgs of Codeine to be equivalent to each 5mgs of Hydrocodone. Thus, while it may not look like it, if you go by the dosage numbers, Hydrocodone is actually much stronger than Codeine. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help...

Hi going thru tough benzo withdraw and wanting to know if butal/acetamin/caf codeine will be ok ## Hi Rick, Sorry to hear about the withdrawals. From what I could gather, Fioricet w/ Codeine (Butalbital + Acetaminophen + Caffeine) is marketed for use in relieving tension headaches and pain. Apparently the caffeine is what works to relieve headache pain, while butalbital and acetaminophen work together to help relieve general pain, relax muscles, as well as decrease anxiety. The codeine, I imagine, would just be an added boost to these effects. So depending on what types of symptoms you're experiencing in regards to benzo withdrawal, then it seems to me that this medication may help to alleviate those one's mentioned above in particular. I hope this helps and wish you a quick rec...

I have BUT/ACETAMINOPHEN/CAFF 50-300-40 CP. What do the last two letters "CP" mean? Does it mean capsules? ## Hello Grace, Typically the abbreviation CP in the medical field refers to cerebral palsy but in reference to a pill itself it's fairly safe to assume that it could stand for capsule. Each company and pharmacy have their own way of labeling things so if it's truly of great concern to you simply ask your pharmacy or the manufacturer who labeled the bottle. ## The ingredients listed in your abbreviation correspond with: Butalbital 50 mg / Acetaminophen 300 mg / Caffeine 40 mg I am inclined to agree with everyone on here that the "CP" could likely stand for Capsule ... However, there is a variation of this med that also contains Codeine Phosphate 30 mg in add...

Acetaminophen and codeine phosphate 300 mg / 30mg. compared to 30 mg of roxys. how do they compare in strength? thanks ## codeine is the absolute weakest opiate there is, you can't even compare 30mgs of codeine to 30mg of oxycodone, 30mgs of oxycodone its veryyyyy strong compared to codeine so be extremely careful, defenetly look a little more into this before taking anything. ## methadoneman is kind of on the right track, though they can be compared if someone knows how to do the conversions. However yes, the Oxycodone is much stronger than the Codeine. If you have been taking 30mgs of Codeine, then you'd only require 3mgs of Oxycodone to be an equivalent dosage and the issue there is that there isn't any 3mg dosage of Oxycodone available by prescription in tablet form. The...

No, the active ingredients are exactly what you listed, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen. According to the FDA, this is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. There is a slight chance that you could also have an allergic reaction to another narcotic, but there's no way to know other than trying it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes hydrocodone has codeine in it, if you're allergic to codeine I would refrain from using this opiate ## shirley schaschl, it is always best to discuss drug allergies wi...
