Started out taking Flagyl, 2000 mg in one day......did not work....cultured and e-coli infection....given 10 days of Cipro.....still have burning and pressure....At wits end....leaving in two days for vacation........I seem to get these quite often..had fishy smell, took bath and bang, next day burning..... ## Hello, Rosie! How are you? I am sorry that you're so sick. If you have a fishy odor coming from your genital area, then that likely denotes that you also have a vaginal bacterial infection. Thus, you might be treating one, while the other is still raging gout of control, because you might not be taking the right medication for it. Have you consulted your gynecologist? The fact that things are erupting after a bath also points to that possibility. Have you had any discharge? Do...

Since I started talking Adderall IR 20MG twice daily for narcolepsy, I have noticed a vague feeling of discomfort in my bladder.... I have also noticed increased urination, and was eventually diagnosed with IC Bladder - Intersiatial Cystitis . Anyone else experience any these symptoms? ## Yeah, the Adderall can cause increased urination. So, may the adderall is dehydrating you some and filling your bladder up more than what is normal for you? I would see if you get used to it. Also, make sure you are drinking enough fluids and some electrolytes throughout the day. The urination thing is common. ## Hello, Brian! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problem you've had. Bladder pain is actually listed as a common side effect, along with UTIs. Other common ones can include ...

I have been diagnosed with overactive bladder but I think it's instertitial cystitis but I worry that if I don't pee at every little urge my bladder will burst is this even possible. ## Hello, Deborah! How are you? No, if you are going frequently, or regularly and drinking a normal amount of fluids, then you don't have to worry about it bursting, even if you don't go at every single urge. The average person should drink about 2 liters of fluid a day, plus they take in some via their food and they usually go 5 to 6 times a day. If you go 7 or more, that's when it's considered that you have a frequency problem, unless it's an isolated incident, when you drank a lot more fluid than usual, so you had to go more often, but things return to normal another day. Thus...

Anyone else have bladder pain or burning with the Sun Pharma Bupropion SR? I was recently switched from another generic and the side effects immediately began. I have had no other medical, medicinal, or lifestyle changes. The symptoms present very similar to interstitial cystitis. I'm working with a urologist now to rule out any other cause. ## The FDA lists that this medication may cause urinary tract infections, as a side effect. Has your doctor checked for that? It's also been known to cause other urinary tract disorders, so yes, there is a chance that it's from the medication. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. ## Yes, we've checked for UTI's. At this point it's being labeled as cyctitis (though not bacteria ind...

I have had chronic UTI's my whole life but ran into real problems since 1998 after cystocele/rectocele repair. I had a suprapubic catheter for a few days. I got a nosocomial infection in hospital. Before all my UTIs were E. Coli. I got Kleibsiella pneumonia in my urine & over the years a variety of others. I am on cephalexin 250mg prophylactically because I have interstitial cystitis for the last 10 years. About once a year I get enterobacter aerogenes that is resistant to everything except SMX-TMP. this last time was about 6 weeks ago. Made by Vista. Skin on my hands kept peeling no matter how much lotion I used. I was also nauseated constantly. I was an RN for 38 years until 2010 when IC & fibromyalgia put me on disability. Sorry this is so long but felt background is sign...

I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis and Chronic Bladder Pain. However, once I tested with PathoGenius in Lubbock, TX 3 times I had a bacterial infection found by molecular, microscopic testing. The 4th test was all clear. I spent from 2012 to 2016 in bladder pain. The normal culture in regular labs do not pick up these infections. Trust me. They will bandaid you until your bladder is diseased to the point of removal. You will develop large scabs of biofilm. Please get tested. Granger performs DNA testing and U/A's. My insurance did pay.

I have been taking Gabapentin 600 mg, 4x per day for a total dosage of 2400 mg per day to help keep the nerve endings on my bladder calm for the past two years. I have IC [interstitial cystitis]. I'm noticing now that I'm having great difficulty with my memory and just simply recalling words to use in conversation. I'm also having right, low back pain extending into the hip, thigh and lower leg with leg pain when sleeping. This pain is making it difficult for me to walk or sit upright. I stay extremely fatigued. I'm 42 and my uro took me out of work in Oct of 2011 and I don't see myself returning to work. I just wonder if the Gabapentin is helping or worsening my condition [since IC can lead to the above complaints] and if anyone else is having any similar problems. ...

HI, I'm taking amitriptyline for interstitial cystitis and have recently been diagnised with under active thyroid so am on Levothyroxine 50mg per night. My bladder is really playing up and I'm wondering if these tablets don't work well together? Has anyone experienced this. I don't know whether I've an infection or just need to increase my amitriptyline because its a flare up. Help please! ## The only interaction listed is that the Levothyroxine can actually make the Amitriptyline work better and some doctors have used it, therapeutically, to do so. All medications can affect people different, though, and this site is not medical professionals to pinpoint your problem. Have you spoken to your doctor about it, yet? ## I also have IC. Hi, I’m a 43 year old female and have had psoriatic arthritis for 26 years now. I’ve been on several different treatments in the past and now taking Cosentyx since feb 2021. I started with the loading dose and now on 300mg fortnightly. I haven’t experienced any side effects yet, however the last 4 days have noticed blood in my urine with tiny clots. I had a urinalysis done and results were clear of infection except it showed high level of blood in urine. I also had a renal and pelvis ultrasound and the results were good. My Dr has referred me to a urologist who I will see on 31st May. Back in 2004, while I was taking methotrexate I experience blood in urine and had a cystoscopy done. The results showed a malignant tumor in my bladder which was removed. I had no further...

I found a dark purple capsule with s111 printed on one side and cannot find out anywhere what type of medicine it is. Please help. Thank you :) ## The only thing I've found on this is another post from late last year, where someone said they were an over the counter product that they'd been given by their mother-in-law to help with bladder pain. That would also explain why an identification can't be found, since over the counter products are not required to have imprints and, if they do, they aren't required to log them with the FDA. Does anyone else know more about this product? ## It is Uribel 118 MG. I take it for Interstitial Cystitis which comes with intense bladder pain and spasms. It is however, NOT over the counter, RX only.
