How long does the effect of one Pms Cyclobenzaprine 10mg last???? When is the best time to take it EX: morning 11 am after noon 3pm or night 10pm????? ## Cyclobenzaprine is muscle relaxant and, as such, it may cause dizziness and drowsiness as side effects, so it may be easier to take it at night, to avoid it disrupting daytime activities. But it should be taken when you were directed to in the prescribing instructions. The half-life is about 18 hours or so, that's when it hits 50% of the amount taken in your body, so one may last most of the day, depending on how severe your muscle spasms are. How many have you been directed to take daily? There is an extended release version available in some countries that lasts longer and is taken once daily. You can learn more Cyclobenzaprine d...

I would like to know what the expected shelf life is for a Cyclobenzaprine 10 mg tablet that's a tan pill with M on one side? I was prescribed this medication for muscle spasms. ## According to Rising Pharmaceuticals, a manufacturer of Cyclobenzaprine, the expected shelf-life of the drug is 24 months (2 years). Reference: However, my understanding is if they are no longer in the original factory sealed container and have been dispensed into a pharmacy bottle, which exposes them to heat, light and moisture, then the expiration is one year from the date they were dispensed. After that time period, they begin to lose effectiveness. NOTE: For maximizing the shelf-life, the product description depicted on Rising Pharmaceuticals website as well as on DailyMed suggest that the recommended...

Want to know what this drug is equal to in a more familiar name. ## Cyclobenzaprine is Flexeril. ## @Thomas, No two drugs are "equal" in my opinion, because they also contain different binders and fillers, different half-lives (i.e. some lasting longer than others), different release rates (i.e. how quickly it affects you), etc.. So when you ask about an equal substitute, the best I can do is point you in the direction of different brand names of Cyclobenzaprine... Karen named 1 of them, and two others I'm aware of are Amrix and Fexmid. There are also various medications within the same drug classification as Cyclobenzaprine; known as muscle relaxers. A few drug names in this category are as follows: Methocarbamol, Carisoprodol, Metaxalone, Orphenadrine, Chlorzoxazone, and D...

Hi there ,I am going for a Ultra Sound guided Breast Core Needle Biopsy tomorrow after noon. The doctor had prescribed me 2 tablets of Ativan at .5 mg each. I had taken two before, and nothing happened. There was no drowsiness, nothing. I am extremely terrified about tomorrow, and need something for pain and anxiety. Would it be safe to take the 2 tabs (1 mg) of Ativan before bed, and the cyclo at 10mg right before the procedure? ## I wouldn't change what you are taking before the procedure, without checking with your doctor. Some medications may not be safe to have in your system, along with any medications they may use, such as anesthetics. Have you talked to your doctor about it?

How are you? Actually, you'd be better of with the Ibuprofen if your doctor approves of you taking it, since it is classified by the FDA as an NSAID that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Cyclobenzaprine, however, is a muscle relaxant, not an analgesic, so it won't do anything to help with a toothache. If this drug cyclobenzaprine (10mg) is a muscle relaxer and the heart is a muscle, if I'm taking 1 at a time, is there any danger in harming my heart muscle? If so, what does it take to harm this muscle? ## In order for it do harm to the heart, per se, you'd have to either have a very bad reaction to it, or overdose on it, by taking too much. Otherwise, yes it is a muscle relaxant and, as such, it can cause depression of the central nervous system, which includes the heart, so it may cause your heart to slow down slightly. This is usually not significant in healthy individuals, with normal heart function. However, you should check with your doctor, to make sure it is safe for you to take it, especially if you've had any type of cardiac problem. Are there any other questions ...

my expiration date for cyclobenzapr 10mg is 3/26/11 can I still take it. ## Hi Henry, Based on my research, the expired medication may still be safe to use but has most likely lost its potency and can no longer be nearly as effective. There are in fact, some medications that can become dangerous after they expire. That being said, it's best to not take any medication after its expiration date. If you desperately need to take the medication, I would seek the advice of a pharmacist. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Cyclobenzaprine Details I hope this helps! ## Is cyclobenzaprine safe to take after 10 mo expiration
