Is this also good for pain relief for neck pain. ## As far as small pains like neck pain from an accident. This drug is so not the best out of all the pain management type of things. They all have side effects that are some what simular and I know of only one person that I know that can take this drug without problems. For small things related to accidents, go with something else. I had all the side effects, my emoitions were off the chart, I lost my job within 3 days of taking this because I sat at my desk and cried for an hour after just one pill. I couldn't think, form sentences, I had a headache that was just incredible. There were alot more things I just can't remember all of them. Please remember people don't take these new drugs lightly. I HAVE GAINED 27 POUNDS IN 3 MONTHS. WHAT CAN I DO OTHER THAN STOP TAKING LYRICA? SHOULD I QUIT OR LOWER THE DOSAGE? I TAKE 2 DOSES PER DAY. ## It's difficult to say exactly what about a medication causes any specific side effect, in many cases there is really no way to explain it, but Lyrica contains the active ingredient Pregabalin, which is actually an anticonvulsant, so it works on brain chemicals. This means that it may be having an affect on something that stimulates the appetite, or slows the metabolism, so some people gain weight easier than normal, while taking it. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? You may need to start more closely watching what you eat, or up the amount of exercise you get each day. ## I can relate to the weight gain with Lyrica. When I first...

Hi, I've learned a lot from other people's experiences on this site over the last few years and wanted to share my experiences with something that comes up on here from time to time, and I hope that I can somehow help out somebody out there wondering. I live in socal (south of LA), and have been taking Lyrica (pregabalin) for fibromyalgia and migraines for about six or seven years now, and it would not be exaggerating to say that it has really changed my life. It's an incredible product, and the only thing I've tried after ten or fifteen years of doctors trying me on everything and mosf things they tried either not doing anything or else just making things worse. With no generic alternative available in the US, I have to pay $217 every time I pick up a refill (28 pills p...

I have been taking lyrica for some time now...it has been in capsule form. I went to a new pharmacy and now it is a little white pill......is it still lyrica. It is white with the number 10 on the back the front has a line in the middle ( like a line you would cut it in half with or something ) someone please tell me if it is lyrica before I have to start taking it. Thank you ## I am not finding any Lyrica/Pregabalin listed in tablet form. All the listings I am finding for it are capsules. Have you contacted the pharmacy to double check? That's what I would do, if it were me, to make sure that I didn't receive the wrong medication. ## I think you should take these tabs back to the pharmacy fir positive ID before taking them. Pharmacists can make mistakes. A friend of mine was gi...

I am 85 tears of age and I have been taking Lyrica for at least 10 years. I was immediately prescribed 75 mg as treatment for severe Neauropathic pain in my lower leg I also had bone pain mainly in the Tibias, I had this particular pain for 30 to 40 years. When I started on the treatment it was dramatic, the pain went almost overnight, it was as if a magic wand was waved. As the years passed I noticed the effects gradually lessened, so the dosage was increased. I suffer with loss of balance and when it first happened I was diagnosed with Benign Postural Vertigo and was treated for that. Now a few days ago my GP increased my Lyrica dose and balance has become worse. It started me thinking and I realised that my dizziness coincided with my first taking Lyrica. Does anyone know if you gain more weight as you increase the milligrams of Lyrica. I've gone from 150mg a day to 600 & still may have to increase, I know weight gain is a side effect but does it ever level out or as I increase my milligram will I continue to gain? I've already gained 50lbs! ## Yes it can! I tried it & I believe I was allergic to it. I caused some sort of nerve damage to my knee in May of 2014 by walking the treadmill every other day. I first felt a mild soreness in my knee, but then one night, I was waked up by a huge pain emitting from my knee down my calf. From then on for over 4 months I was in severe pain 24/7. Could not sit in anything but a straight chair and that for maybe 15 minutes. Could not ride in a car for more than a few seconds before a knifing pain took over. I was pretty much bed bound with my leg up on a pillow. Even eating a meal at the table was hard. Went to three different orthopedists, all of whom felt the problem was arthritis. Then I thought, "No way." And I went to a neurologist who immediately put me on 50mg of Lyrica. Then on 100. After a month, about half the pain was gone, then...

I take 75mg Lyrica for nerve pain in my legs and feet. This is keeping me up for hours at night. I cannot go to sleep for 2-3 hours after going to bed. Does anyone else have this problem? ## Have you informed your doctor? You may need a higher dose of the Lyrica. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Lyrica as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, and mood changes. However, it can also cause insomnia, so that is something to be aware of, in case it happens to you.

I found out about Lyrica after 6 months of the soles of my feet felt like thick Elephant pads and painfull. The sharp needles and pins prickling night and day.The bottom of my feet and toes burned to the point of turning red. I tried Benfotiamine..no help. I tried Novacaine I bought through a Canadian pharmacy...no help. I found one thing that would help some.Sitting with your feet up and a wet wash cloth draped over the feet and havin a ceiling fan blowing on them. At night I would wet the wash cloths ,fold into a triangle. fold tightly around the feet and pin on with a large safety pin. I stuck my feet out from under the covers.
