My father is 69 years old and has been taking Ecosprin 75 mg for about an year. He for about a month is suffering with indigestion, loss of appetite and diarrhea. His food intake became extremely low gradually and for few days he almost stopped eating anything. He is now on food supplement. Doctors found that he has duodentis. My 81 year old dad started Xalkori almost a month ago for stage IV lung cancer that has spread to his liver. The most worrisome side effects initially were a bad interaction with his irregular heartbeat medication, which has since been discontinued for now. The FDA classifies this medication as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding. Taking too many may result in stomach damage, stomach ulceration, liver damage and/or liver failure, which may be fatal. However, some people who drink alcohol while taking antibiotics similar to amoxycillin and clavulanic acid have experienced adverse effects." Aside from the typical side effects, I would personally suggest taking it easy on the alcohol for the sole reason that alcohol can be hard on your liver.
