His liver, kidney and other tests are normal. Cloud you please suggest me, if duodentis could lead to such extreme or there are other tests we should go for. ## Well, one of the predominant symptoms of Duodenitis is stomach pain and that could certainly cause him to suffer a loss of appetite and lead to the other symptoms. My 81 year old dad started Xalkori almost a month ago for stage IV lung cancer that has spread to his liver. The most worrisome side effects initially were a bad interaction with his irregular heartbeat medication, which has since been discontinued for now. He is no longer faint but has aversions to practically all food. Any suggestions for how to help him with this? ## Hello, Rachel! How are you? What problem does he have with food exactly? Is it that he says it's unappetizing, does it make him nauseous? Has he consulted his doctor about the issue? Sometimes cancer patients require a pretty bland diet, to try to keep them from getting sick, so he may not be able to eat the stuff he normally would have, before he began treatment.

Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon I too had asked about these 465's and you didn't reply. Been on this med for 3 weeks now, has been working great no panic attacks. But, today I decided to drink 5 beers with no food and only the drug in me...bad mistake. I have a horrible head ache and pain behind my left eye. Hopefully, will wake up feeling better tomorrow. ## Hello, Keith! How are you feeling? Yes, thanks for posting sage advice for others. It is never a good idea to drink alcoholic beverages, while taking a prescription medication. It is well known that it can worsen the side effects, so one drink may affect you like you'd had 2 and so on. Additionally, you double whammied yourself by drinking on an empty stomach, which is never a good idea. It allows the alcohol to hit you much harder and faster than usual, plus it's very rough on your stomach and liver. The FDA ...

Does alcohol diminish the effectiveness of Amox Clav 875? ## Hi Rudy, According to a medical news article I read, "Drinking alcohol while taking these tablets does not usually cause any problems. However, some people who drink alcohol while taking antibiotics similar to amoxycillin and clavulanic acid have experienced adverse effects." Aside from the typical side effects, I would personally suggest taking it easy on the alcohol for the sole reason that alcohol can be hard on your liver. You want your body's immunity to be at full force when attacking the infection. My theory is if your body is working hard at metabolizing fatty foods, alcohol, or any other substances that aren't "clean", then it's not going to be nearly as efficient when it comes to fighting ...
